I did some searching but havent found exactly what I want.
I have been using dropbox and really like it but its got some drawbacks for me.
My company has about 70 clients that we backup databases from. when compressed the backups are about 500mb to a gig depending on the client. We can...
Im looking to get a few computers going. I've changed my mind from an Intel setup to AMD for the upgrades.
I am looking for Phenom II x4 chips. I would like to pay under 100 each. I've seen 940's for 85 and below. That is the range that im looking for. I can paypal Non CC as soon as...
I've thought about that, but then the rest of the mill, a flaker and about 40 feet of steel and several tons of corn would cut off about 60 to 80 degrees of the zone that I want to cover.
The high leg of the mill has line of site to prett much everywhere I want to hit with coverage.
Do you...
I've been contacted about setting up a wireless network for a feedlot/farm that wants to implement computers into their tractors/feedtrucks/trucks on their farm and small feedlot/ranch.
What they want to do is have a wireless network that they can connect to from about 1/2 to a mile away from...
Just a quick question. I was thinking that it would be nice to use my tv in my bedrrom somewhat as a mirror. Anyone have an idea about how the best way to go about this would be? Nothing fancy, just an imput that i could turn to when im dressing to use my tv above my dresser as a mirror for...
I've been thinking of upgrading from my samsung 22 inchers to the newer samsung 24.6's with the built in HD tuners. I'll have these in a dual display.
I've not worked much with tv cards, but I"ve been wondering if it would be better to buy a regular monitor (maybe an LED one) and then run...
gave it a go with some of those other ideas. I used the single mode driver in nlite. i'll read over it again, but im bean on this computer. i've created 15 differnt coaster cd's already trying it.
tried it wtih the drivers on the usb drive, couldnt get xp to find the drive. kept looking...

I flasheded the bios to the newest version on the dell website, 2.2.6 or something like that. Still no go. I wanted to grab the chip, but my professor wasnt around this afternoon and I really didnt want to leave a dead computer in the lab without an...
I put my cpu in a dell at school, no post. its a 745 optiplex with a core 2 duo. Would that MB need a bios update to run the quad core chip? These computers are probably a year or so old. Let me know if I should throw this in a different forum.
Thanks
when i got the new mb back i tested it outside of the case. I learned that you dont want to go to the work of screwing everything in until you know it all works. I've tried the sticks of ram individually and in different slots, and the memory worked in my friends computer.
The processor...
I had a previous thread on here about a possible dead motherboard. I RMA'd the board back, and just received the new one. had it on the bench, got the vid card, a stick of ram, and the PSU plugged in and it still wont post. I had a friend test the PSU and the ram and vid card and they all...
i've tried all the ram individually in probably all the slots, or at lest 3 of the slots. I've rest the CMOS, and still nothing but fast beeps. Going to RMA back today.
Thermaltake tr2 430np
i plugged the 4 pin lead into the top 4 of the 8 pin connector. i also threw in a ati 2400 pro instead of the 4870. Figured it would be easier to power up than the big guy.
thanks for the help so far.
tested the PSU on an old p4 mb and it powered up fine. I dont have another psu that i can test on the gigabyte motherboard due it it needing the 8pin power connector. pulled a 512mb stick of ram to test out of a dell and the motherboard did the same thing, no post. I havent been able to try...
oh, you guys have so not made my night. I think that the power supply is the last thing that I could be able to check. I'll check out the post codes again, but shit, this could suck if its a PSU issue. I just sent a 3 year old PSU back to OCZ that they are checking out. Thanks for that...
Sorry, forgot to say that i've checked the post codes, nothing like what i've got, or at least not that many beeps.
I've tried each stick by itself too. thats why im not sure about the ram or MB. I didnt figure i could fry all four sticks at the same time. I'm waiting till I can get to...

Downloaded from the ati website, didnt work.
I installed vista 32 bit and its doing the same thing. I did however used the drivers off of the cd that hte card came with because I didnt have the net hooked up to download hte 8.12 drivers for 32 vista.
Am I looking at another dead card? Or...
hotfix didnt work. When I tried to install it I get a "Detection driver not installed" error. I'll have to get this on another monitor this evening.
That or burn off a copy of 32 bit vista and give it a try.
I hope its not the card, this is the 2nd one, first one was DOA. I'll try it with the monitor, and i've tried it with different ram last night. I'll check out the hotfix as well.
I just got in a saphire 4870 512mb version, fresh install of vista business 64. try to instal 64 bit drivers from ati website and i get a blackscreen and restart. a restore from safemode will get me back into windows, but if i try again, i get the same blackscreen and restart. I am running...
I've got some cisco 2516's i'd sell. I used them for my CCNA stuff. I'll try and figure up a price for them and the serial cables if your interested in that type of router. I dont have any switches for sale, but the routers have hubs built into them.
Found another PCIE card, just a cheapy, no extra power connectors required. Plugged in and it worked. So I'm thinking its my card. I read somewhere that people were flashing to fix some problems like these. is that a good idea?
Took the MB vid card, psu and ram out of the case. Tried it again with one stick of ram in slot one. Still get the "you have not connected one of your video card power connectors to the power supply. Please refer to the "getting Started Guide" for proper hardware installation." error.
I...
Just got in all my parts today, was in a rush so I just installed them in the case instead of trying everything sitting on the counter.
When I got everything installed, cables ran, the first time I fire up the box, i get a constant beep. Screen shows that I dont have all power connectors...
I'm still waiting to know how they put the files in and at what resolution. I would say there are 40 or so pictures in the file.
I didnt know if it was a wordperfect thing, or just massive files in general.
