I used to delve into DCS and I had high hopes for World being a good combined arms environment but the ground element just never gelled with me.
Using the SU-25 and P-51 in VR (Vive/Index) though.....whoa. Those high-fidelity cockpits really shine there.
I was having WHEA issues with my Crosshair VIII + 5950X until I upgraded to the latest BIOS. Ran for 3 days straight with Folding@Home set to max since then with no problems. Ram is G.Skill B-die running at the XMP profile for 3600.
As for availability, I've been trying to get another 5600X...
You need to race because they seem to limit how many are allocated to certain regions/stores.
I fought with their system for a 3060Ti and a 5900X. Both let me add to cart but when it came to the checkout, it wouldn't let me pick any store near me.

Oh, I have been, but even with the Discord notifications, I've never been able to get anything but the Zotacs into a cart let alone actually purchased.
Zotac has been the only relatively consistently available 3090 I've seen lately. Managed to snag one with overnight shipping for cheaper than most other vendors. Ordered late on day 1, they shipped on day 2, and it is here today.
I received the 12/21 date and I ordered almost 0100 Eastern. For now, my intention is to hold onto the preorder despite having a unit coming from Amazon. This is not to scalp but to possibly pay it forward to a worthy [H] member.

Much would depend on what you were planning on playing as well. Games such as Civ 6 that have a lot of compute-based tasks would see significant gains as well. Then there is the wholistic aspects of upgrading to the current generation too. Assuming you already are utilizing a SATA SSD...
