look through the imgur gallery linked on the first page of the thread - shows pictures of builds with this setup. it is indeed long and i think it goes quite close to poking throigh the hole in the chassis in the front - but it does indeed fit inside the case with no modifications.
i am...
molex plugs and splitters solve things very well. in my Ncase M1 build i had 2x AIO's with the fans both split from the CPU fan header, the pumps split off a 3pin header, all my case fans off the only other 3pin header (with molex power supplied through the splitter) and that worked very well...
how many cases are available to order? trying to get a timeframe for 'sold out' as i cant order one in the next couple of months but can at a later date.
any info would be appreciated!
right well it looks like i may hold off on the Arctic Accelero Extreme IV - unable to find it in Australia - so the only way to get it is off the Arctic International store - which will cost me like 135AUD, which is a tad extreme for a GPU cooler!
ok thanks for that - did you see that others on here have the AX4 with fans set to exhaust and saw improved temps?
i think ill pull the trigger just to have a play with it - even if i dont use it for my 980Ti in the M1 i can use it for my Gtx970 in my missus's rig - as itll work wonders for...
are your fans set at intake or exhaust? you have a significant OC running on your GPU yes? did you find that mounting the system to the card and getting the card inside the case was hard work?
id love to get a fair bit of detail regarding your thoughts/pros/cons on this cooler before i go...
what sort of temps do you get with this? i finally found a site that sells it in AU and am thinking about picking one up for my 980Ti, as the Super Jetstream Cooler, while excellent, struggles with recirculated air in the M1.
id use 2x120mm Noctua iPPC 2000rpm fans on it. id love to know your...
anyone got any ideas on whether or not the Palit GTX980Ti Super Jetstream will fit? it seems like it would be a pretty tight squeeze given the 2.5slot cooler and the 280mm length of card. im tempted to snap up a 980Ti and the palit is arguably the best/quietest card and definitely the cheapest...
i would recommend the Silverstone NT06-P as a good aircooling option for non OC processors - i have it in my HTPC (not the M1) and with a good fan mounted on the underside (i have a Noctua SP fan - 1500rpm i believe) it keeps my i3 under 40C while being 'silent'.
it depends a little on mobo...
phuncz - it might be worth utilizing the case flex technique provided to those of us with the v2 wobble feet issue - it may assist in lining up your holes a little better if your case is somewhat flexed.
heres a link showing a few pics from my v4 build with 2x AIOs, a modded G10 Kraken bracket and a few other bits.
i also thoroughly enjoyed the lian li QC issue i had with the 3.5" screws.

nice build! what sort of temps do you get on the i7 (clockspeed/volts etc) with a slim 120mm rad and single fan? i have a an i7 3820 im planning to OC (via BLCK) and the old h100 that came attached to it is getting pretty worn. wondering how viable a 120mm rad is for a high tdp cpu.
ignore this guy - he has been trolling all the SFF custom case threads - the Dondan A4 thread is full of his guffle.
let him keep his terrible steel mass produced POS. he clearly cant appreciate the finer things in life.
received my v4 today (east coast Australia) which surprised me, that was pretty rapid, even compared to my v2 (10-11 days i think).
itll be a few days before i get a chance to transplant my build into it (along with modding my g10 kraken bracket) but ill make sure to have plenty of photos for...
i have an M1 with the 970 DC Mini in it - fantastic card, was significantly quieter than the XFX 290 DD it replaced and using a quieter fan curve i couldnt really hear the card at all over other components until it got close to 50% fan speed (or about 65C on my fan profile - i prefer...
best way i can think of would be to remove the cover, unscrew and remove the current fan and attach your new one to the external side of the grill using the same screwholes but screwing it in from the inside of the cover out.
great news regarding the guarantee of at least 50 cases being made for production - i feel like it gives me a bit of breathing room as i have quite a few pc things going on atm:
-Ncase M1 v4 arrival by the end of the month which will take me some time to get right by the time i remount the G10...
i found the Asus 970 Mini to be quite tolerable and run reasonably cool - using a custom fan curve up to about 50% i think. i have put it under an AIO because i had the bracket and AIO from my last build but tbh it didnt really 'need' it to be cool/quiet. and the mini does exhaust surprising...
i cant comment on the H100i - never having had one - i did however have a H80i but i never found the pump to be too loud on that.
tbh it probably is an arse covering exercise by corsair - to stop people downvolting pumps so much they stop then blow up under high temps. i cant see running...
H55/Tt Water 3.0 performer - plug them into a mobo fan header and use some fan control software - and i can confirm adjustable speed through the asus aisuite 3 app as when i move the speed below the startup threshold i can watch my cpu/gpu temps increase as idle.
how many fans are you trying to run off the 1 header? if you are using single fans on each rad then yes a splitter from one header will suffice but 4 fans for push/pull might be a bit much for the header. additionally do you have bottom fans mounted that youll need to run?
i would go with a...
swap the power plug to the middle mount where the Ncase M1 name plate is - that really helps with fitting the rads vertically. also if it helps i found that the easiest way to mount the AIO on the cpu is to have the hoses facing up and to the IO - this means you can do a full twist with the...
wooo. ordered a V4 (black, no ODD) to replace my V2 - its just too good not to keep the support going. hopefully ill be able to sell my V2 off to a mate and we can convert someone else to the good cause.
damn you USD/AUD exchange rate, you make my wallet sting!
The H80i is a VERY tight squeeze over the motherboard - not due to the 38mm rad but the thicker hoses. its very doable but requires putting serious strain on the fan bracket as the hoses usually rest up against the radiator from the inside. i tried it initially and swapped out the H80i because...
its probably not the best for maintaining PSU longevity but tbh the exhaust from the GPU rad is really not that hot (<40C i guess) so i doubt its gunna result in significant issues.
but yes it does solve the issue of the fan chirp - and facing the fan towards the inside mutes any noise i...
