Using ICH10R... Write-cache enabled for harddrives and volumes
4 x 640 AALS --> Raid 0 (OS drive)
Rest of the space is Raid 10 (Storage)
Contemplating moving over to a hardware raid controller to get off raid 0 but get those type of speeds
I may be totally wrong about this, but isn't FreeNAS software based RAID, so why do you need the hardware RAID Card?
If you want to expand your setup, you could use a SuperMicro card that costs $100, no raid, but provides an interface for 8 more SATA drives. Connects with PCI slot, although...
Hello... edit... long freaking post
I have tried to do a fair bit of research for this project, but I am basically lost when it comes to what hardware I need, or what option I should pursue (I'm guessing WHS will work fine, but a NAS with RAID 5 would probably also be adequate)
Purpose:

If you get a Y-Connector from your computer output (RCA Output, no sub out) to powered speakers and the energy sub, does that reduce the power/volume of the speakers overall?
I would imagine it does, but I'm not sure, nor do I know how much it'd reduce the sound levels by... I could increase...
If you have winrar (I don't think winzip will work)... copy the contents of the cd onto a folder on your desktop or anywhere. Right click on the setup.exe, or any other file, and see if you can extract the content...
Once you've extracted all the stuff into that folder...
Go to device...
Have you tried going through device manager -> update drivers... then select the drivers from the cd?
Might not get all the bells and whistles, but it should at least install the drivers required for windows to send audio to your headphones
One thing you should know/realize about Windows Vista and presumably Windows 7 is that gaming audio, if it attempts to use EAX or directsound is butchered quite significantly. At least that's what I recall. It's basically to make Windows more stable.
Creative has created alchemy, which...

Spaceman's alternative to pc speakers

Should cost around $200 ish, 2.1 setup
I think any news about OLED mass production should be handled with a massive amount of skepticism... People all over the place are making huge advancements in this technology... new problems will probably arise as old problems are dealt with
Would a sub be a necessary investment or they can hold their own fairly well?
Trying to look into getting some real speakers for my desktop/console setup... I remember hearing about MS40 and AV something... sorry... tired today, don't remember the exact models, but they are fairly common on...
You should also test it a second time by switching what port the monitors connect to on your video card
To make sure the video card doesn't have any issues in itself between the two ports
Some video cards (the new ones) I believe have two dvi ports, so you should be able to run two monitors using one video card
I don't think you can use two video cards separately on one machine. You could run them in crossfire mode or whatever NVidia does... makes the computer think it's one...
Hello... I am wondering if anyone knows the reason behind this...
I seem to be experiencing an image quality that makes the gradients choppy? The gradients seem to be blocky insetad of smooth. I have tried everything I can in turns of NVidia drivers settings, but nothing seems to help
Is...
Got this monitor today... so far, I'm liking it. However, I haven't played games yet, so that may break my heart, but it is beautiful
Props to 10e for posting the icm file, made a nice difference to my colours. I doubt my colours are 100% accurate, but they still a lot better than when i...
I am not sure if it will help... I'll be getting one of these monitors in a few days, it's just that this type of bug... I wouldn't imagine it'd be too hard for them to fix, unless it's a hardware mess up that they want to cover up
Not sure how the interaction between video card and monitor...
I would probably side with drivers being the cause... Does this happen on other inputs or other computers if you were to hook up to something different?
Probably better to post those questions in that thread... there seem to be two issues right now: Availability and confusion of why the picked integrated speakers instead of an HDMI port (they include DVI to HDMI cable though)... If you're really interested, you'll probably find yourself reading...
I think the new Planar or Doublesight monitor touch many of those requirements. I am pretty sure one of those monitors has a power brick, forget which one
Doublesight: HDCP, but no HDMI I think...Also looks like it has a power brick

NewEgg has the FP241VW as "Deactivated Item"... regardless, I'm going for this monitor, well almost ready to pull the trigger
Just a quick question about the tilt... Can it only tilt upwards, or downwards as well? From some images, it appears it can do both, but just want to make sure since...
