If you're streaming, its more important to have a consistent fps for your viewers. I'm well aware of the latency introduced with vsync. If you run uncapped, they'll see a lot of jitter and inconsistent frames, in addition to giving them horrible tearing. For me, tearing is worse than the...
I just tested it again. I have 1% GPU load difference between streaming and not. Video Engine Load goes to 30% now from ~20%(that's the encoder) Memory Controller Load is 4% difference.
Hardly enough to say that there is an impact to using the encoder. I'll say it again from above. GPU...
Yes.
Check out LucidLogix Virtu MVP. Used it until it was patched out of Windows.
It actually worked very well when I used it on supported games.
Additionally you can still use the iGPU for encoding.
I'm not sure I'd get one w/o an iGPU. I'd really have to think about it.
I replaced my Pixel 1 battery a couple of months ago. It wasn't that much, and very much worth it. I was at 85% power every morning by the time I got to the office, now its 99%. I was getting about a half a day with light use.
At this point, I can go all day and be at 60% with about 2 hours of...
What I posted on the D3 forums yesterday.
"I have put well over $25k into various Blizzard products, gear, lore books, Blizzcon trips, tournaments to NASL/IPL/MLG, etc...I'm way beyond fanboy status at this point.
The way they released this information was idiotic and full of hubris. They...
I'm seeing this as a new and disturbing trend. People do not understand that "bros." is brothers. I want to toss my coffee at every person that asks me if I went to Dutch Bros. Coffee.
Its brothers!!
The PS4/Xbox might be skewed a bit. I run a PS4 controller, but use the SCP drivers to emulate an xbox controller. It'll show that to Steam. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Then they need to make it easy to report it. I had to report my mining as hobby income (which it really is), because there is no clear way to report earnings. I haven't converted any of it to USD. Its still effectively worthless until I do something with it. When/if that tiny amount of coin...
Even though I already own on the PS4 Pro, I was considering buying on PC. At this point, I wouldn't touch it. Audio is important to me, and if not done right, its a huge turnoff for me.
Any coin using the CyptoNight protocol is easily mined on CPU or AMDs. Even a HD7850 pulls in some decent numbers. Monero is one of those, BUT the difficulty is crazy high, so no profitability for older hardware.
Last year I tripped over Superior Coin. Been mining with my off hardware since...
Certain coins you can...and still at a profit btw. I have two CPU mining Superior Coin at $650 profit. Just need to research the coins that are still profitable.
Bought a 1060 last April for $250. It blew up, so I've got an RMA on it. Went to check the price on a replacements....that's at $419 now. Was able to pick up a 1070 Ti at the end of November for $469. Its now $949 at Microcenter. Its nuts.
Sold a GTX680 last night on ebay. Put it up for $105...
I remember when H.265 was requested by the community, they didn't push it because mobile devices couldn't process the video. I'm guessing that's changed by now?
