Already have an SSD for boot and the games I play the most, I was just looking to upgrade my 1tb bulk storage drive and potentially raid it in the future.
I think this is the best answer. Considering the fact I would have to buy waterblocks for my cards that $550 980ti I bought was more like $400 so I took it. Still waiting for the new cards to drop though.
What would you recommend then? These would be my drives for bulk game storage. Figured Raid 0 would give me a little performance boost. Since there will be no critical data on the drives I did not figure it would be a big deal if one of the drives did go.
I do not disagree on the Nvidia part. I picked up a 980 ti now (because it is the best now) so I can be patient to wait for the polaris launch instead of picking up pascal at launch. Now for async compute, thats a different story and there are large threads on this already. I did not recommend...
You just seem tired of gaming. For me when I get like that, I just play Counter strike. I do not care about the game as much, it just brings out my competitive nature in me and I enjoy competing.
Alright that is good to know, I know apple has been known for dropping the ball on support for these things. You have any experience with windows 10 via bootcamp?
Only RMA experience I had was with an XFX black edition 9800 gtx+. All I can say was it was the easiest RMA process for a PC component I have ever had. I wish XFX still did Nvidia cards, I loved using XFX
Thanks, that is exactly what I was hoping for. Back when I used raid a lot more than I do now, I seem to have remembered doing this. The only way I would swap back is a drive failure, but in that case my data is more or less gone anyway. Thanks again.
If you can find a good deal on a 980ti I say go for it. I found a 980ti with a waterblock and backplate for $550. The way I see it the 980ti will not be outperformed by a 1070 (or whatever it will be called) and realistically the 980ti will be slightly faster. So I got a 980ti now at a $50...
On a console I do not mind seeing 30 fps I just want the visual fidelity. I am not as competitive on a console and just want it to look as good as it can. For ultra performance in games I use my computer. On the few games I can't get on my PC i want them to look as good as possible and do not...
I was wondering if my macbook pro will have the support for windows 10 on bootcamp. I recently updated my desktop to windows 10 and figured I would update my macbook pro with it as well. I just do not want compatibility issues by doing so.
In a situation like that I can somewhat see the point, but in my application of these fans I would need the ring to sit flush in order to mount the rings. I do see the desire to want to change the basic aesthetic of the exhaust side of these fans.
changing out the reference coolers is probably my favorite part of custom loop watercooling. There have been very few stock air coolers on graphics cards I could tolerate.
I was just wondering. If I buy a 4tb black hard drive now, and use it until the 4tb starts to fill up, if I add another 4tb and go to raid 0 is there a way to transfer (or maintain) that data to the raid 0 array without using another 4tb drive as a backup?
My main issue is the quality of the M8. I have gone through 6 of them with warranty problems. My first one lasted about a year with no issues and then died on me. I then received two SPA replacement phones. The next phone had lint all under the screen. The fifth one boot looped and finally the...
It makes sense. At the rate consoles have changed the next gen after the xbox one will probably be very similar to a steam machine. I figure this move just makes the transition easier.
I have been using an unreliable HTC m8 and was tempted to stick my sim back in my old GS3. I remember when i got it I thought the screen was huge and now the phone just feels small. Kept me from switching back.
Well, here is my opinion. The bifrost costs more than your amp and as much as your speakers. Therefore, I think the modi 2 uber will be a good choice based off price and benefit to you. That being said, since you like to keep your equipment for long periods the bifrost may be a good buy because...
Haha, I love me some plastidip. That being said the schiit lyr gets extremely hot and I do not think the plastidip would hold up over time. The cerakote definitely would but I would have to void my warranty in that case. Just trying to justify the risk, or know even how great the risk is of...
I have been running a Schiit modi 2 uber for around a year now. I have used the bifrost and I honestly doubt you could tell the difference, there seems to be a slight difference in sound but I woudn't necessarily say quality. Honestly, it depends on what you will be using with it. If you have a...
I have a schiit lyr in the standard brushed aluminum and have been toying with the idea of putting some gunmetal or black cerakote on it. The one thing holding me back is the 5 year warranty. I have had it almost a year now and it has been flawless, but I do not know how susceptible headphone...
Uplay ID: Zibigan
Timezone: Central Standard Time
Preferences: I am pretty much happy with any style of play as long as things do not start to get monotonous. Scared that I will have to start going rogue in this game to keep it fun unless there is a lot of content. The beta has me worried in...
It has always been fine for me... I played through the gears games again. I did notice is you exit the game to the overlay the game doesn't run as well when you return. A hard reset fixes that problem.
I loved the witcher series and want a game that can give some challenge in a similar way. Is the dark souls series a buy for me? I have been tempted to buy the first one numerous times. Also, would it be best to start with one or two?
Been playing some Rainbow six siege... it isn't the rainbow six 3 experience I would love to have again, but it has made me love competitive fps games again.
