Finally going build a new rig, and I am stuck on which of these two cpu i want to go with. i know the 2600x is more for gaming, but I was thinking, would getting the 1700 and overclocking it with a hyper 212 give me much more bang for the buck?

Finally decided it was time to upgrade my 7970 to a EVGA 970 SSC, the newer one that came out recently, for gaming at 2560x1440. These cards seem to be sweet overclockers, and I should see a massive improvement in my gaming. Haven't been this excited about a PC part in a while.

Can someone help me out with settings on this please? The headphones sound better with dolby enabled, but when I do a left and right channel test, both sides have both channels. When it's not enabled it works fine, but it sounds not as full of a sound. What settings do you all use?
