Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all of your insight. I decided on this Arris modem/router here:
Paid a little under $200.00 with a Amazon coupon. I refuse to pay Comcast @14.00 a month for their...
Hi All. I moving & I can't use DirecTV anymore. I'm stuck with Comcast. I called them the other day & they now charge $14.00 a month for their modem/router! That's insane. Any insight would be great appreciated. Thanks All!
No worries Macker. I live in Mass & yes...BA Corporate is about 20 miles from our home. I have nothing to do with BA! I simply dig their speakers. Do own a pair of NHT ST4's for my 2-channel listening pleasure.
I just bought these 2 weeks ago & they simply rock for $259.98 (pair) Running them thru an older Marantz SR-4600 receiver via optical cable from a Sound Blaster Z. Insane sound. The build quality of these speakers are top-notch. Just thought I would throw it our there...
The BEST 2.1 speaker set-up out of a box. You can score them for $99.90 @ Best Buy on sale every now & again. I bought a set of Cambridge Audio Minx 5 because of my desktop space. You can't go wrong with this set-up.
Thanks Archaea. I'm way ahead of you! I'm 50 & my 1st game (aside from Master of Magic) was HoMM1 (DOS version) Love the series with the exception on HoMM 4 & 6 (still own both) Playing the HoMM1 campaign as I write this. I must have played the campaigns with all races @ least 10+ now. Still a gem.
Great deal! I bought this here for $109.99 six months ago for my computer I leave @ my parents home in Florida. Does fine with 1080P res w/ most games.

Too bad you missed out on the Cambridge Audio (not Cambridge Soundworks) Minx M5 2.1 set up that Accessories4less for $99.00 w/ free shipping. I bought 2 units (just in case) They sold out about 6+ weeks ago. For a 2.1 system, they sound pretty good & have an ultra small footprint...
I was @ BB yesterday & picked-up the Pioneer VSX-830K ($249.99) That's a damn fine deal. Maybe I'll return my 830 & pick-up the VSX-90 The reviews for the budget 830 are pretty solid. It's still in the box. OP thanks for letting us know.
I think SomeGuy133 is correct. It's a good deal for the average user that likes to game & doesn't know how to build a rig. Power supply aside. Most of here enjoy building our computers, so we can pick on it, but it's still a pretty solid overall deal.
I find it to be a lot of fun as well. I wished games lasted longer then say 40+ minutes. I D/L a copy of the original MULE last night. What a trip. Haven't played in decades. Plays fine in DOSBOX. I guess that tells me I'm getting very old!!
I hope OWTC finds it's own niche because it's so...
I wouldn't say this is super hot, but if you liked MULE, this might fit the bill. I'm very addicted to the game.
Early Access & I guess Mohawk/Stardock are still a few months off until the retail release. Too me, it's worth a $20.00. Some might not agree. Just thought I would throw it our...
Hahahaha. Intense game there sir. Probably need quadfire !
The game that started it all for me. The original "Kings Bounty" Gave us the HoMM series (my fav) & of course the new TB Kings Bounty series. I own a R390X now & it will rip through all of my games @ 1440P No reason to upgrade now. I'm...
A couple of weeks back it was $1399.98 You'll have to check every week & see yourself. Sony's 2016 line-up is already @ BB. No word on Samsung yet. You should head over to the AVS forums. Wealth of knowledge there.
Vengance: Look @ this Samsung 60" here:
Samsung - 60" Class (60" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black
It's a Best Buy exclusive. It uses a Sharp 10-bit panel. Wait a little longer & you can grab this for around $1100.00-$1200.00 It's loaded with features (including HDR) I had...
Old_Way: I agree. I was never a Sony fan after selling my Sony 34" Direct View (tube) HDTV. For the model # Maybe something with like 800? When it came out @ the time (maybe 2003?) It was the standard for 1080i viewing. Loved it. But, then I moved over to the Pioneer Kuro & I was amazed...
I agree with some of your insight. 1st...The JS8500 is a damn fine panel. It's VA & the blacks aren't anywhere near OLED. My 850C is a VA panel as well & the blacks are better then the JS8500 IMHO (subjective) The Samsung has more "pop" then the Sony's no question. Samsung up-scaling development...
Here's my screenshot. I had to back my CPU to stock as it was having issues. See my specs below. DX11 R390X Quick Edit: I don't know how to make the screenshot larger. 43FPS Average.
