Waiting for AMD to announce Big Navi. Will put in my 3900x rig below and move the Rad VII to the 2700X.
My 2080TI is @1 and 1/2 years old and is a GREAT card for my 9900k rig. The 1080TI is the Gigabyte Waterforce custom water cooled card in my custom water cooled 5960x (running at 4.4 all core...
Works fine for me. Just added an extra fan to cool the VRMs. I'm also using a 360mm slim rad and the new Optimus Foundation AMD WB.
No need to Overclock and besides the 3900x does not have much headroom to OC and temps really spike.
Why can't Crysis run this demo on a Vega 56/64, Radeon VII, a GTX 2080 and GTX 2080TI and report the results. Just use the same cpu.
Wouldn't this better show the effect of ray tracing cores vs no ray tracing cores?
Newegg has the listings back up but all are auto notify. I suspect that means a shipment is incoming to Newegg soon.
I was lucky enough to snag an Asrock Rad VII last week off of their web page.
Kyle and Brent, Thank you for the review.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to click the Newegg button and an Asrock Radeon VII was available so I snagged it to replace my GTX 1080 in my 2700X rig. I had both the 2700x and the GTX 1080 liquid cooled but changed to GTX1080 back (It was a Founder's...
I've had an Acer 4k 43' Monitor ET430K
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824011128&Description=4k 43" monitor&cm_re=4k_43"_monitor-_-24-011-128-_-Product
for well over a year and am very pleased with it.
It most certainly DOES. I have a GTX1080TI connected to it and just entered the menu and it indicates "HDR" mode under picture. When you disable HDR it is nowhere near as vibrant.
christal, do you own the Acer ET430k like I do?
If so, what video card are you using, as only the most modern ones...
silverwolf0, I own the Acer ET430k and am very happy to have a 4k monitor that is so big. However, it does not have all of the features this LG does. It does, however, have HDR and that makes a big difference for me.
Kyle I was able to put 3 of the XSPC RX480 Ver3 radiators in my Thermaltake Core X9 case. I used 12 Gentle Typhon 1850 rpm fans linked in pairs to a Nexus 6 channel fan controller with Dual D5s in a XSPC Twin D5 Bay /Res. Obviously tons of rad capacity to cool my 5960x and GTX1080TI below. Would...
I have a MO-RA3 420 PRO!:) which I'm using on rig 3 below. It has 9 140mm XSPC fans that are hooked to a fan controller.
As far as how hard you can push TR, I have the R7-1800x and use P state OCing and my 24/7 limit is 4.05. Running 16 cores/32 threads in TR at 4 Ghz is pumping out some real heat.
I voted the same as the GTX1080 when factoring in the pros and cons right now. Oh a year from now it will be faster but Nvidia will most likely have the Volta out and a GTX1080TI will probably still be a bit faster and be reduced in price.
AMD really needs a high end card to be viable in the...
You made the right choice. You will be set for BF1.
P.S. Frankly, I'm tired of the "if Vega was out line". It isn't and AMD seems to confirm it won't be out until 2017.
Meanwhile you'll be having a blast with your high end gpu playing games all summer, fall and winter.
