    The [H]arbringiner is alive

I have 2 duds, but I will be getting a chip soon. I was just thinking about testing my p100s with some gpugrid though. I was just amused at a 7yr necro asking questions about a box that hasn't been on since epyc launched.

    The [H]arbringiner is alive

What power supplies are you running, it got pretty thirsty pushing past 3.3ghz And which board? You should be able to get pretty far at 1.375v, I was watercooled and um, pegged stuff at 1.55v, which the VRMs can handle, but the traces cant... If you are having trouble getting NB overclocked...

    The [H]arbringiner is alive

Getting stable NB overclocks were tricky but also super helpful performance wise... Are your VRMs cooled? 2 things I ran Nbvid of 7, so I gave the nb more volts... and CPUs a lot more.... but the board can't handle as much as I gave them. According to my very very very old post of which I...

Battlefield V on PC to Include Profanity Filter

I don't think you understand... It's a matter of freedom and control. They are taking away community control, and arbitrarily setting nanny state on certain words... I guarantee this won't stop people from being shitheads and typing racist shit around filters. A filter will never replace...

In what mode and what region.... good to know if you can push through the fodder there is light on the other side. That said... there is a market to be had selling crates, so long as cheating is lucrative... it will be rampant.

There is a ranking system, if you don't see hackers, you just aren't very good... They banned 1M hackers in Feb alone and tend to ban 7-15k/day... No recoil is the most common I have seen, seen plenty of tracking through hills and long shots... prefire at hilltop before player is visible...

Bad at spelling and history. Emachines was bought by Gateway and continued to be their budget line. Till it died. Like your chances at winning hdcotm again. Gateway was going to go defunct as well, and got eaten by acer. The brand only exist down under... and are just rebranded acers.

Lol, I only have a pair of them...on a x10dax. 4p intel boards are... stupid expensive and cases are harder... Next on my list is to rebuild harbringer with epyc... as soon as parts actually become available.

Dualy kept turning off yesterday, pinned it down to a multibit ecc error on one of the dimms... swapped it out and it seems to be staying up. 44c/88t, it should start dumping some points soon.

New Intel Core Processor Combines High-Performance CPU with Custom Discrete Graphics from AMD

I am on top of the world... After reading the on fudz about a licensing deal rumor... looking at all the pieces Intel needed a license or a chip, and they chose to not reup with nvidia... Intel and AMD rather specifically said no licensing which led me to believe a chip deal was reached. Press...

Parting it out.... $700 for board and labor. $2438 Phi $400 SM863 $390 (6x 2400t rdimms) $100 750w Seasonic $200 Chassis (or 300 with 750w seasonic included) $??? Board $??? Labor $4298 Even if it is a $200 board... $500 labor is completely reasonable for a system this expensive.

IIRC the full dev system from intel runs 6k. If anyone wants to help me create a docker image Patrick is more than willing to run it on his server. I am on slack right now trying to figure out if they will stone me if I stick fah in a docker image.... since that supports AVX it would be a...

KNL (knights landing) version of the Xeon Phi is now bootable, as opposed to being a coprocessor last gen. 7210 is the "cheap" one at $2438 ... Still a bit rich for my blood but I can drool over it. Thought you fellow DCers would be interested.

    Interesting new Xeon-Ds

I dunno, first bench shows it beating out a pair of E5-2620 v3s... Those are ~$430 ea. add in a 2p board... and 10gb nic. Price is going to be about the same, but at a fraction the power.

House of Cards: PCIe SSD Performance Roundup @ [H]

Clean state performance is always faster than dirty state. Hence trim and gc routines. Enterprise drives are better about maintaining a more stable performance but the current nature of nand means a re-write takes more time than a write. So if you delete and re-write it will be slower. It...

Got my AHCI version of the SM951 off ebay. $430 for 512GB Yeah... it is quick, but if it doesn't have airflow it will throttle, so don't tuck it behind a gfx card. Never saw mine throttle though... and I did 8Gib and 32Gib runs back to back.
