Where are you seeing this for that price? I see it as $160 on their website?
Was it a sale or something going on then?
Actually I kinda like the look of this external drive and may incorporate it into my desk build, just not sure if I have the room. I only designed it to have a normal HDD...
Hmm this is interesting info!
Knowing these are higher end drives and removable, this is probably the way I would go.
Obviously you void the warranty, but I'd be more concerned with data loss than a drive replacement at that point, but it's a good thing to try and keep the cages in good shape...
Ok I have a desk case and definitely want an internal HDD, so the EMAZ drives are out unfortunately.
I'm narrowed it down to either a WD 6TB Black or Blue drive:
What makes the WD Black drives so...
I have a WD 2TB from probably 4 years ago that has been serving me well, it's just almost filled up.
I don't need the WD purple and I don't think I need to pay the premium for the Red either. I'll see what deal I can find on a Blue or Black WD.
How do you feel the $150 Seagate I linked to...
So I'm about to burst out of my current 2TB HDD for all of my media storage.
I am looking to upgrade to a 8TB HDD to store all of my various media on.
Which one do you guys suggest?
I Found this Seagate for $150:
But then this 8TB Seagate that looks...
Looking at Samsungs website there isn't much difference between the 970 Pro & Evo these days. It's almost worth just saving the money and going with the Evo. I currently have two Pro 550s (I think)
I see that AES 256 is now a feature on the 970's, but are they supported and available for use...
So I want to move from SSDs for my OS to M.2 SSDs but only if they have FDE.
Do they feature this yet?
Also my M.2 slot is under my video card on my Asrock Extreme 4 - do these have issues with overheating?
The video card currently has an aircooler on it, but I am getting ready to add a water...
So I have a 2tb HDD that I store a lot of video content on that my video editors can easily, but securely access. Instead of uploading to various things like google drive, I think hosting them on my computer for the editors to access will be easier for everyone.
But what is the best & most...
Ok so I have 2 video cards, I thought they were both Asus Nvidia G-Force 9800GT cards and they look almost identical except for a some resistors etc. They have the exact same model #, different serial #'s though obviously.
Is this going to be a compatability problem when running them together...
Ok I used a carbon fiber knife I have to scrap off the big thick areas and was able to get it completely cleaned off.
The chip itself doesn't have big thick parts to it, actually seems like a really thin layer, I just want to make sure acetone will be ok to clean the chip off first before...
The acetone seems to be working fine for the thinner areas, but the perimeter has a thick layer that squished out and seems to be problematic. I need to scrap it off first, but not sure what to use because I don't want to gouge the copper heat sink.
Do you guys think it's ok/safe to use the...
Is there anything else besides that, that will work?
Is that common to be sold locally in a store or do I have to order online? (it isn't a big deal but if I can buy it locally and finish this up tomorrow, that would be preferred.)
Seems I have Arctic Silver 5 - High Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound
It's what I used to put the heat sink back on my Intel processor
So I DON'T want to use this kind then?
What should I look for specifically that would be sold locally? Not sure if I have radio shacks around any...
I have an Asus nvidia card that I had to take a part to clean. This I also removed the heat sink and there is the grey thermal compound on there, seems almost hard like dried putty, but I think I should be able to clean it off with some rubbing alcohol?
Is it ok to use the Arctic Silver...
I realize this can be an issue, but I took the proper steps the last time and removed everything completely & cleanly. Thank you though.
What do you guys think about 13.12 vs 14.4 ? I know I tried 13.9, I could have sworn I also tried 14.4 - I think I'd be happy just to get all 3 monitors...
It's an Asus mobo, a few years old at this point.
I'm using 2 dvi & 1 display port. I've had all 3 working fine, but the drivers werent stable. So I know it will work, just need the most stable driver.
Instead of trying different new ones, which I've already had issues with, I'd rather...
I just received my new Samsung Evo 64g microsd card.
Do I need to do anything to it first, format it etc or can I just put it right into my phone?
Does anyone put additional passwords or encryption on their microsd cards?
I want a 64gb Samsung MicroSD & they have 2 different versions:
Evo - writes up to 48MB/s
Pro - writes up to 90MB/s
I have a Padfone X
Would I benefit by going with the Pro for faster writing speeds? Can the Padfone X even utilize that speed? If not I will go with the Evo.
Should I still do this atikmdag.sys file replacement AFTER doing Nexiullus re-install of 13-12?
So I shouldn't try it on the 13-9 that I have installed now? Completely remove this version too & for sure go with 13-12?
I have installed 13-9 - you're saying the one you use is 3-12, NOT 12-3?
Wouldn't that make 3-12 a very old driver?
Am I going to be losing out on anything with this older driver? I almost wish I never bought this card...
Yes any link to a stable driver would be great.
That didn't work.
I should also note my display that does work doesn't look good, looks like terrible graphics.
So is something not installed properly? I uninstalled and reinstalled everything properly.
I was told to download this driver: 13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql
Ok I will try that now.
I have tried multiple times now, everytime I try installing Catalyst it seems to do so properly but I can't find the program itself to open up and adjust settings? Would this be where I find all 3 monitors?
I have 3 monitors & recently upgraded my video card. I was having issues with the drivers & was getting the BSOD.
I posted a thread in the BSOD section on sevenforums.com & they suggested I re-install the drivers, which I did, using the version - 13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql - but now I'm...
Ahh I'm all set up with both monitors through DVI now, thanks guys.
I just have to order a DP cable from monoprice so I can get the third one up. Hopefully it will just be as easy as plugging it in at that point, but it never is... :(
Great of course, I just checked monoprice & the only DP to...
Ok so I just installed a new SSD today so I really need to get this video card situation taken care of already.
1) So run AMD Clean uninstall in windows
2) Then boot in safe mode
3) Run DDU in safe mode
5) Then use the video card install cd when normals windows reloads? Is there...
Would the AMD uninstaller be on the disc that came with the video card? I just found it in the bottom of the box and didn't think to try to install it, once I plugged the card in it seemed to install everything for me.
I have CC Cleaner - is this the Drive Cleaner you mentioned that I should...
