i know :( this will be the first processor on the new PSU. so maybe my luck will change. i hope it will.
I didn't have this many issues with the P4, which i used for just as long as i have been with AMD. it is just crazy.
the First thing that happened to me i forgot to add earlier was i...
everything i have is retail :( my spending account at newegg and zzf is quite impressinve LOL
amd's RMA takes too much time so i will be selling the replacement they send me. anyone want a brand new 3800+ for 305.00 shipped? (i'm serious)
Enermax was stable the whole time, rails were measured with a DMM and never fluctuated.
OCZ is also very stable.
Cooling used was a Zalman 7000CU, and recently i changed to an XP90 which cools about 4C bette than the Zalman. my X2 before it died was peaking at 35C while running dual Prime.
maybe a Priest as well to come and bless my apartment and my computers? maybe it is bad karma, maybe something i did in a previous life
j/k please try to keep this serious. Honestly the last 7 months ahve been hell because nothing stays stable for more than 60 days :(
i can only hope so, i am not sure how to test that?
i use a CyberPower 1500AVR as my UPS and there are no warnings from the software or on the unit itself. it is supposed to detect wiring faults. I used the P4 in the same apartment for 1 year before i upgraded to A64, i have been using the...
temps on cpus are always low, less than 45C, in most cases under 40C
voltage to ballistix, 2.8v. voltage to TCCD was 2.7. i did try some UTT with the 3200+ and that i went up to 3.5, but that was the only cpu i did that with.
the psu's i tried were a 485w Noisetaker, rails were rock solid...
Ok, heres the situation. I upgraded to an A64 system in February.I originally built a 3500+ w/ a K8NS Ultra and 2x512mb of Plat. Rev 2's. it was perfect at 260x10 1.45vcore for 2 months, then out of no where the cpu died.
Ok fine bad luck, i then got a 3200+ Venice which worked for a few weeks...
i read on another site (can't remember where now) that someone added another card, and there temps didn't change any. if you have a 120mm fan blowing in on that area, i don't think it would make much difference
yes XP90, has kept my 3800X2 under 35C at full load on my DFI. i think the ASUS reports temps higher, so that kinda sucks, but oh well.
the fan is a Thermaltake SilentCat, I bought both from frozencpu about a month ago. The fan comes white, which was ungawdly ugly, so i painted it orange...
i can, i hate my DFI.
the R.ABO died after 2 months and when it did, it took out my Ballistix with it. they wouldn't even work at 180mhz! errors at any speed. it was bad.
then i get this new on that doesn't even freaking work properly. I got it all setup, stable, then for no reason...
your pm box is full.
Give dell a call and pick the options for customer service, product info, or place an order. I don't remember the specific menus though.
If they have the 1901 in stock, you might as well wait for that if you don't game with it. otherwise cancel your order and get the...
