Cursor is not movable. Can't do anything other than hard reboot.
I have tried a 22" Acer, 24" Dell, both 1080P. I have tried VGA, DVI, and HDMI. All of them have the same result.
After booting into Windows via SafeMode, it looks like Windows cannot find a driver for the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter", or the "Generic PnP Monitor".
Usually I don't see the 2nd one, I wonder why Windows can't automatically find those drivers. I will search online for answers...
I reinstalled Windows, got all the way in, played games, no problem.
It was only after I removed the AIO Liquid GPU cooler that it no longer booted. I tried reinstalling again, got all the way until boot, then it didn't load.
I will try another driver, older and newer. I can download both...
My old PC had the MSI 6970 Lightning (which I bought from a user on this forum 4 years ago). I had an AIO liquid cooling system on both the GPU and CPU.
I recently upgraded my current PC and moved the AIO liquid cooling system from my 6970 to my new GPU. I reinstalled the old air coolers on...
I can probably get my fiancee to clean the air purifier. That's the difference. ;)
We vacuum quite often. Birds are dusty machines.
I replace the filter every 3-4 months while in use. We have cockatiels. 7 of them. 7 little dust factories.
I've been thinking about moving the birds...
I don't know exactly how small bird dander is, but it's definitely getting past the filters. These are the filters that I am currently using:
I had to use a plastic trimmer and trim the edges a little bit to fit two of them next...
I did some research online, and Winix scored well for the money. The replacement filters are like $100, and they last a year, and they are cleanable within that range. I have it going right now in between the birds and my computers. I spot checked it a couple of times and it's already pretty...
I actually just bought an air purifier, because my fiancee just tested positive for a slight allergy to bird dander. This is the one I got:
So, the computer in the bedroom discussion: this gets a bit into my personal life, but I will digress...
Yes, I has all the filters already.
I have filters on all the intake fans. I don't have them on the exhaust fans. I can look into that.
No computers in the bedroom. The whole point is to keep the sleeping space separate from the computer space. We both sleep much better that way. Like I...
So I did a quick count, 5 fans intake, 2 out. All the intake fans have filters on them. And again, I'd rather clean 1 external radiator than all the internal components.
I DO have fan filters! On ALL the fans! It definitely helps, but doesn't seem to help all that much. One thing I didn't...
Update: I already have filters on all the fans. Dust from these suckers STILL manage to get in the case. I clean the filters regularly with a mini shopvac.
TL;DR at the end.
So, my fiancee has birds. They aren't going anywhere, and they are on the farthest possible part away from the bedroom...
TL;DR below if you don't need the whole story.
So, I have some rather unique requirements. My computer room is unfortunately the same room as where my fiancee's birds reside. If you do not know, birds are extraordinarily dusty creatures. The main reason being is that when they grow new...
Looking at putting together some tiny machines for light gaming (TF2, WoW, LOL), and potentially as a HTPC. I can't find any benchmarks comparing the two.
The options I'm looking at are:
Intel Pentium G630T
AMD E-450 APU...
Looking for something for my GF, her birthday is coming up.
I have been impressed by the A-Series APUs that AMD is putting out.
This product seems pretty solid to me, but any suggestions would be great.
I would like to...
I'd like to know what kind of story-line an alien can have...
"I came out of this giant egg, attached myself to someone's face, implanted myself in that person's belly, burst out a while later, wreaked havoc"
Gosh this is tough.
Witcher 1 (still haven't played 2 yet) and Mass Effect 2 probably my favorite single player games
Team Fortress 2 my favorite multiplayer game
Guitar Hero 6 my favorite console game (the only game I play on console, lol)
I've done this before, and if your machine is powerful enough, you should be able to play on it at the same time.
My suggestion is just find an empty server and have both of you log in. Much easier than trying to setup a server.
