Hi all, looking for some advice on storage options for our small office. Below is some details.
5-10 employees working off server at a time. Mainly excel/word/viewing photos/payroll software.
24U rack with plenty of room.
Currently have Dell r330 with 4 hard drive bays (H330 internal sata...
Picked one of these up at my local BB. The drive is an wd80emaz with 256mb of cache listed and 5,400rpm according to crystal disk info. Shucked it without a problem and i'm adding it to my Unraid server now. So far so good.
In your plex dvr settings there is a transcode option if you click on the gear icon of your tuner. I have mine transcode while recording, and it outputs a .mkv file. It does say it takes some CPU horsepower, and i don't know what your setup is but give it a try.
just got the system booted last night, and with a 6700K/Strix Z270/Noctura L9i and my idle temps were 38-40 just sitting in bios with no side panels. Is this to high? Should i reapply the thermal paste? I used the included Noctura paste.
I'm installing my parts tonight, and it seems the ram is to tight with the L9i and the Strix Z270i. The ram i'm using is G.SKILL TridentZ Series https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HFR96OQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Anyone have this setup with similar ram? One stick works...
Progress? I was running Display Fusion Pro and somehow that was breaking everything. I've uninstalled it, and i can use g-sync as long as nothing happens on the second monitor. For example, if i'm fullscreen in Battlefront on Monitor 1 and i try to have Spotify open on the 2nd montior, i'll...
Update, if i disable one of the monitors and run g-sync, i have no issues. Both Monitor 1 & Monitor 2 work alone. If both are enabled, g-sync is broken and i get the flickering as seen in the video. I feel like i might be SOL, but can't be the only guy with 2 g-sync monitors.
Hi all, for some reason my two ROG Swifts will not do g-sync. I either get black flicker like pictured in the video, or in League of Legends i get crazy lag/rubber banding. I was just wondering if anyone has had similar issues.

any reason i would be only getting 1700mbps read with this 512gb drive? Drive is installed in my Asus Rampage V mobo, only one video card with a 5820K so there should be enough lanes.
edit* bios is updated to the latest. I have downloaded and installed the NvMe driver as well.
