Hi everyone, I managed to get a hold of Mayhem’s Inhibitor + and Hades + for my loop. On the bottle it says. On the bottle, the instructions are “Mix 1 drop to 1 Ltr then add 1 drop every 2 to 3 months as a top up.” However, on the website, the instructions are “Mix at a Ratio 0.05% e.g 0.5ml...
Yes! that is exactly what I see. How the biofilm got in is beyond me, probably was the distilled water that was used (even though i got it sealed) or the Dazmode coolant i used was ineffective (i heard feser one isn't that great).
Oh dont worry, ive taken it a part before and cleaned every tube, opened up every block and cleaned it too. Its just a hassle, but its not a problem. Im more worried about taking things apart and putting it together repeatedly which may cause fittings and orings to be loose which may increase...
Where would the dust/crud have come from? I inspected all the parts before installation and everything is new. The CPU/water blocks were completely spotless before installing and the rads were rinsed too. These spots tend to be growing more and more overtime, so i doubt its residual debris from...
Hey everyone,
I had my loop for around 6 weeks now and all my parts are new including: CPU block, GPU block, pump, reservoir, radiators x2 and hard tubing. They are all brand new and never used. Given that my CPU and GPU block have acrylic tops, I can see that they were absolutely clean without...
The flow meter was not reading properly because the bubbles were obstructing its measure. As i continued to allow the system to bleed out the air bubbles with a lot of tilting, rocking and changing the pump RPM, the flow meter showed gradual increase in flow rate. Initially, the pump would be...
Thanks for all your comments guys! anyways, I fixed the issue. The flow meter is much more accurate now and increasing the pump RPM doesn't create bubbles from the impeller. All the air bubbles are gone and the pump is inaudible even at high RPMs.
Yeah my mobo has CPU_OPT which is meant to measure pump speed. On full speed, my pump sounds very loud and generates a lot of bubbles. It sounds like its in overdrive mode. Adjusting the speed to full speed in my BIOS sounds exactly like if i just use the molex connector. So i know it is indeed...
Hi everyone, here is an update on my build. Pump and reservoir has been installed back into my rig and I’m just leak testing everything. So far, there are no leaks, however, I’m wondering if my pump flow is being restricted. As you can see from the picture below, I have a sharp 90 degree angle...
I have a proper TV setup already, thank you. I can already watch something on my TV setup, which is my original question pertains to a desktop ultrawide monitor for watching movies.
Yes. it preserves most of the information, but where do you see that this information is related to picture quality and image? This can be data that may not affect picture quality.
No, the conversion does not compress the movie or remove it quality. It only extracts the movie itself into a playable file on PC. Checkout makeMKV forum
I have the 4k disc that i have converted into MKV files. I play the MKV files only, not the disc. I know there are many issues with playing UHD discs in windows. So no, the MKV files are not pirated, and yes, I have purchased the disc itself
Why not? Wouldn't you want your monitor to clearly display what you are watching? or am i missing something? I know that if a movie file is not exactly the same aspect ratio as your monitor, there will be slight black bars (in the context of no zooming, cropping). But wouldn't you want each...
Thanks.. that was my concern. I know that the movie file itself is 16:9, but the movie itself is 21:9 aspect ratio within the 16:9 frame. The movie file itself is 16:9 because it includes the top/bottom black bars. Just to confirm, let's say if I initially open these movies/files on a 21:9...
Thanks!
For movies/shows that are 21:9, did you have to zoom in at all, or did the movie naturally fill up the entire screen?
For 16:9 movies, when you zoom to fill up the screen, is the movie more blurry and not as sharp?
Ok I can live with a bit of black bar at the top/bottom as long as most of the image quality of the movie is retained on a 21:9 screen. Even if i do full screen it to remove those top/bottom bars, i don't know how much distortion there will be since I don't know the actual vertical resolution of...
Thanks Wiz, I think the monitor is Display HDR600 as indicated on LG's website. I think 40"/43" is too big for me given my limited desk space and I prefer to sit close to my monitors given that i have a multi-monitor setup. Im looking for a good ultrawide that maintains the 21:9 ratio that is...
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to seek your humble advice as I am planning to get a new monitor. I’m planning to buy a new LG 38” 21:9 ultrawide monitor (38GN950) that has a resolution of 3840 x 1600. I will be using this for daily use, but a big part of it will be watching 4k movies/MKV files using...
I also have an EVGA 1080 ti as well.
If I get the Aorus FV43U and use a DP 1.4, would i be able to get 4:4:4 at 4k, 120hz, 8bit?
If I do end up getting the CX48 and use HDMI 2.0, can I still get 4k 120hz 8bit ?
Do you know if any 4k blu ray files or standard blu ray media files run smoothly ?? I will be using the monitor for watching mainly 4k blu ray files (mkv)
And also, how do 4k movies look with HDR turned on??
Damn, this monitor seemed perfect and fit all the things I wanted. Any other recommendations for a 43" monitor with good HDR support? The LG CX 48" is too large for me
Edit: is the 24p issue ONLY if you plug external devices (ie. Blu ray, 4k blu ray players) into the monitor? Or will you still...
Hey guys, I really want to purchase this for my desktop setup. I want to use it mainly for everyday use and watching blu ray movies. I heard that this monitor does not support 24p and that there is a lot of stuttering based on several reviews. Is this true? Is there a firmware update that fixes...
Wow 10mm, thats a lot! I am definitely going to tilt and rotate my case as much as possible when everything is installed.
You know the vertical rad in my picture? Is it bad that the inlet/outlet are located at the bottom vs the top? I have heard mix opinions about vertically mounting a...
Hey sorry about that, i just fixed the links. You should be able to view them now.
Pendragon1, i also filled up the res more so its 80% full. I tilted the radiator so that the inlet/outlet ports are elevated and i see the water line on my inlet/outlet tubes so i know the radiator is indeed full...
Alright, I think I fixed it after some testing today.
Here is a video of the pump spinning, notice how its spinning quite fast and generating a lot of air bubbles? The air bubbles are then fed back out from the pump into the water loop. Also, notice how loud the pump is? With all the pumps I...
Alright, when i guess i will try it out tomorrow and report back to you. But thanks so much for all your help and suggestions, I appreciate it greatly !
So my pump should be able to push through that setup completely (ie. fill up both radiators completely and keep the coolant flowing) right? Im worried that the pump wont be strong enough
