Thanks! Ya, that would of been absolutely perfect, but like you said, impossible to find. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! It didn't even occur to me that I could step down to USB 2.0 internally with the only sacrifice being speed. This is my only option because I plan to use the one and only USB...
I have the Lian Li PC 011D XL case which comes with (4) USB 3.0 ports on the front panel requiring two USB 3.0 cables to be connected to motherboard headers. My motherboard only has a single USB 3.0 header port.
Does such device exist that would allow me to connect both USB3.0 cables up...
Nice! That is some fast RAM. Despite using the Unify board, I plan to simply throw them in and enable XMP. I like having the option, but normally don't mess with it unless I have a reason to.
How are you liking the Z490-E? The Z490-A was my first choice, but I read too many things about that...
It is my understanding that the MS Z490 Unify board has a daisy-chain RAM topology making 2 sticks much more ideal than 4. Is that not true though? Would I benefit greater from going 8x4 ?
I have also seen some things regarding dual-rank, but don't ever see that listed on the kits I am looking...
I am down to the last part needed to complete my PC build. I am simply wanting to run my thoughts through you guys to make sure I am not missing anything obvious, or to see if there is a much better option I should be considering.
After reading / watching many articles / videos, I do believe...
Thanks man! That Z490-G mATX from Asus has nothing but high praise. I was seriously considering it but needed (wanted) more M.2 ports.
Sounds like either board will do the trick and the VRM should be good. May just come to which is cheaper.
I am in the process of purchasing the last few parts for a new build. Like a lot of people, I can't find a 5900x on sale anywhere, so I am going to roll with the 10900k instead.
I am one of those people who won't use all the power in most cases, but enjoying building a PC every few...
Thank you both, great info.
Seasonic Prime Plat 1000 would be great, but not seeing it in stock until ~ Feb 2021
Edit: I currently use the Corsair RM850x and before that another Corsair RMx product. Both PSU's were perfect for my needs and I never had issues. Given this, I chose to stay with...
Hi, I am seeing some PSU recommendations for a new build.
I will be using an RTX 3090 with a 10900K CPU in this build. Most online calcs / review state that an 850w PSU should be enough, but I rather throw a 1000w at it to be safe and avoid potential issues.
With prices all over the chart now...
Thanks! I agree, the two things holding me back from the G.Skill are the way it looks compared to the K70, and the volume roller. I prefer the smooth roll and surface of the volume roller on the K70 along with the sleep looks.
On the other hand, the G.Skill is ~$20 cheaper, has audio connections...
I need help finalizing on a keyboard decision between the Corsair K70 RGB LUX and the G.Skill KM780.
Does one really beat the other? Has Corsair fixed the QUE software so that it is now manageable?
I like the Mic/Headphone inclusion on the G.Skill, but like the Media controls better on...
Thanks for the advice. I am looking at F4-3200C16D-16GTZ
Reviews also all said XMP worked fine and no mention of people having to up the power to them to get it to work.
Thanks. I think those may be the ones I go with.
I am working on a new 6700k build and both of the below set of sticks are on my motherboards supported list. Which are better? Timing vs Hz?
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 3200
G.SKILL TridentZ Series DDR4 3000
I use the Klipsch pro media 2.1 - 98% of the time
I only use headphones in a handful of games when I need to communicate... For that I use some Corsair gaming headphones ...
I just upgraded my motherboard and need some advice on which audio device would be best. I don't know much about audio specs, so I am kinda lost. I could probably try out both methods to see which I think sounds better, but I would also like to know spec wise, which one should be...
I have a noob question and do not know enough about audio to know which one is better between the following two sound sources.
Between the below two options, which would give me the best sound? Normally I would assume the dedicated sound card, however it is now quite old and the...
Does FutureMark/3DMark support a 3440x1440 resolution for benchmarking hardware?
Are there any software applications that do? I recently got a new monitor and want to see how big of a hit my Vid card took due to the upgrade.
I recently purchased a 3440 x 1440 display and am curious if it would be best to connect this display to my video card via mini Display Port or a normal Display Port cable. I know HDMI would lower the overall Hz to 50 (from 60). Does it matter which display port I use?
Wow, thanks for the detailed response! Glad you like the switch, looking forward to getting mine. Good to know the sound is acceptable after the FW update, and I like your idea of swapping fans out for quieter ones.
Thanks again for sharing your experience. It helped a lot.
To those who have an UBNT Edge Switch (24 port - 250w in particular)
How do you find the noise levels with the latest firmware? I am wanting to purchase this unit and stick it in a room with in a house, not a data-center. Am I going to hear these fans from a neighboring room?
Please select me because not all of us can currently afford SSD storage with family responsibilities... and I would LOVE to see what my computer can do when on the fastest source of storage around :D This is what dreams are made of.
I am having trouble deciding which monitor to get on a $250 USD budget. (Prefer to come closer to $200)
I am primarily going to be using this monitor for gaming and web surfing. I rarely to never watch movies on my computer. I have read many reviews, and the more I read, the more confused I...
Thank you, I think I have narrowed my choice down to either the Cool Master Excalibur or the Antec Tricool. Do you think I would loose a lot of cooling by going with the Antec to cut costs on two, or should I just go with two excalibur's ? (or something totally different)
This is the last piece of the puzzle... I am putting a Corsair H60 on a 2600k chip and plan on over clocking using Asus TPM. I am estimating it will hit about 4.6 Ghz.
My question is, being that Corsair does not sell the fans on the H60 separately, what is a reliable fan that I...
1) When you are OC your 2600k, does the H60 keep it cool enough, or do you recommend I go with the hyper 212? Sandy bridge puts out less heat, but since you actually pull it off, I wanted to ask you for your opinion.
2) I see your using g.skill rip jaws. I was debating on...
Hey man, I am new to the forum and I saw one of your recent posts about the corsair H60 heat sink. I am messaging you mainly because I would like to talk to you about your setup i saw in your tag on your posts. Your rig is exactly what I am trying to do, and wanted to ask...
