I’m not trying to be that guy but is this some sort of flex? I’m pretty sure you’ve read reviews and seen comparisons on how the 4090 performs against other cards. There’s no way you went into buying the card blindly.

I’ll start. I’ve always hated desert areas and snowy mountain areas in video games. They seem too bland and not very exciting to me. I’m more of a lush forest with wildlife and rivers type of person.

I bought an Evga GTX 980Ti Classified locally for $200. I sold my GTX 1080 FE a month ago for $450 due to needing the money. I don’t game much besides playing CoD Cold War . Just got Vanguard but I can’t seem to fix the stupid Vivacious error.

I’ll try those ports when I get home. Thank you. Could you point me on how to get to the screen to enter those port numbers?

I’ve tried the scan/repair, deleting the folder in Documents and reinstalling, resetting my router but nothing seems to work. I’m on a wireless connection so it’s impossible for me to do a direct connection from the modem to PC. I read it’s a wireless issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope at this point I’m gonna hold out for next Gen. My 1080FE is chugging just fine in the game I play which is CoD Cold War. Everything turned down to the lowest setting.

I should’ve bought a 2080 Ti for like $600 back before the 3070 was release when people were dumping the 2080Ti in anticipation for the 3070.

Why next month when they can cash in on the holiday rush now? Or are they banking on tax refunds 😜 If I can’t my hands on a 3080 when this new “surplus” lands I’m gonna skip this gen and wait for the rumored “Lovelace” GPU from nVidia.

I choose the RTX 3080. I don’t plan on changing out my 1440p 144hz GSYNC until I upgrade to 4k120 I’m a few years.

I’ve yet to receive a notify email from BB when I signed up for it back before it launched 🤪.

At this rate I might as well wait for Hopper 😜. My 1080 FE at + 130 core and +400 memory is chugging along just fine (and by fine I mean currently I’m playing Cold War with all settings at it’s lowest. I’m getting around 100-120fps on my 1440p 144hz monitor)

I’m already bored with the multiplayer maps. Even though there’s what 8 maps I feel like I’m playing like 4 of them over and over again. I absolutely hate the ship one. Ugh....

I had the same thing happen to me. What fixed my problem was that I went into Windows update and it showed 2 optional Updates for Corsair. I updated it and my problems went away. Maybe try that.

I have an HP Omen 27” 1440p 144-165hz GSYNC. I don’t mind sticking with nVidia. Once I can max out settings on this monitor I can peacefully upgrade to 4k120. Hopefully by then GPUs from nvidia and amd have moved onto better tech.

9800 Pro 128mb back in 2004. It was paired with an xp 2500+ at 2.2GHZ. First PC build. Been PC gaming ever since.

So has anyone been able to buy a 3080 or 3090 from Best Buy’s website. I’ve been checking everyday since launch and no go. Went to a few local BB and only cards left were 1650 and 1660 supers.

I agree. I bet they would lose their shit if they didn’t get any cards for their money grabbing videos. It’s nice to tell people to calm down and it’s not a big deal when they have a handful of cards to play with.

Serious question here. I have an HP Omen 27” 1440p 144-165 hz monitor. Currently on a GTX 1080 FE. Would Big Navi Or any AMD videocard work on this monitor? If it does looks like my choices on GPUs to use just gotten wider. If not I guess I’ll continue nVidias scavenger hunt for the RTX 3080.

When I game I crank fans to 100% and slap on my headphones. When I’m done I set it back to default and take off headphones and turn on speakers while surfing the web or trolling YouTube.

I went from 1080p 60 to 1080p 144hz to 1440p 144hz within 1 year of experiencing high refresh rate. Once you go 144hz + you wont ever go back. I can wait for 4K120 . That’ll probably be 2 more generations of videocards of waiting for me. I’d like to max out 1440p 144hz before I move on to higher...

The 3080 10GB should be plenty to power my 27” 1440p 144hz monitor. If the 3070 is equal or better than the 2080 Ti in traditional Ras/RT There’s no telling how much better the 3080 is! Hope I can snag one at Best Buy on the 17th!

I’m also on a 1080 FE. I’m giddy asf for Ampere.
