Hello everyone. I know this thread is old but I would like to give some feedback on the screen since I still use this monitor.
This is my was my first ips monitor i bought and used at the time and I was impressed at the great colours and the good deep blacks. Besides the bad stand and the...
Yeah but that has more of a indirect influence on the games smoothness.
For example the game you're playing can utilise 4 cores, can that logical cores serve as to ekstra "cores" and boost performance? If it is somewhat thru then quad cores can be somewhat overrated to an extend to the...
Hi How're you doing? Do you have any interesting info on the ips236v?
I'm getting sometime this week a real pc to test the ips monitor. a i3 2100 and a overclocked 6870
A okay, dis net jammer dat dit duits is, miskien verstaan jy afrikaans beter!
that link shows the ips231p model or are there no real difference between them? least It's more then 60hz.
Edit. missed read the ips236v link
So the ips236v does not support more then 60hz? Is the ghosting then really that bad? I haven't had a chance to see how it far in fps games.
Cov have you played a fps game with the ips23 and seen bad or really noticeable ghosting?
Monitor of coarse! I don't think that if I decided to change the monitor I'll get another one. I have not seen that monitor on any retailers website in SA and www.pricecheck.co.za doesn't show it.
Edit: pricecheck found retailers.

Did bought the monitor for R1 499 or about 150$! :D didn't find any problems like dead or faulty pixels. didn't noticed any backlight bleeding. the colours do look good. this was the first time that I've seen this type of screen! my price was a winner, so if the response time is slower the price...
Just want to tell you all I went and bought the monitor for R1 499 or about 150$! :D Haha. tested. There's on dead or faulty pixels. The colours look beautifull. Haha first time that I've seen this type of screen!
The price was a winner!
Yeah Wow that's interesting. So far my price is very good. It was on a premier launch special!
They say the price was R1 900 but that's about 190$ and that's not much. I think some LG products in SA is quite good priced. I'm not sure about the other countries.
Hi all
Would this monitor be a good buy for R1 500? ( rand, I life in South-Africa ) it would cost about $150 if $1 is R10 ( That`s what I use to compare prices) , but its actually $1 = R7 ($215) . That`s what I pay for PC parts in SA! We get ripped off.
I guess $150 is a good price then? Is...
