Hello all,
I recently purchased a Lenovo y730 that came with just 128gb m.2 drive and a 1tb hdd. I'm looking to upgrade the m.2 drive but I've been out of the loop on pc components for a while and not sure which one I should get? I don't do much with my laptop (youtube, net, emails and a small...
Yeah, the i5 with less ram/SSD was sold out.. and I got tired of looking around lol. Thank you all for taking your time out for your suggestions and helping me out
!
This is a little more than I wanted to spend on this as it might be overkill - from Bestbuy (local reasons):
Dell - XPS 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 - 512GB SSD - Silver
Model: XPS9560-7001SLV
Thank you Dracowolf , I'm not worried about a budget at the moment but just something to work well for about a month and maybe something still good to pass on to my son (not sure what he has). I'm not afraid of a 1.6K kit but would like to see something cheaper for the bang of it.
Hello all,
I'm a long time member here and even a longer time lurker since my kids grew up. Today I just got back in town from my Son's Navy bootcamp graduation at the Great Lakes, he's already been to Houston and now at San Antonio while I was still driving home. That being said, he is now...
I may still have a few 233mhz range pcs in the garage, going through a divorce and was going to throw away all the 20+ cases with hardware in them when the time comes to that part. They've been in a detached garage for many years, not sure if they will work (some win95 but most are win98 era)...
I'll take the MB, PP verified instant payment ready right now. I'm in a rush to find a MB and may look elsewhere to get something moving. Let me know if this is still available.
Hi Chris,
Just wanted to drop in and give you a bump! I noticed your heatware and thought it sounded familiar, we had a few transactions about 13 years ago (kicker sub, PNY TI4400). Nice to see you part of the [H] team!
Looks like the seller received his card back after pulling the DC number from the image of the OP - https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=03120090000182260402

I've been messing about with a 16 x 2tb WD RE4 raid 6 array. If you can afford drives dropping off, give it a try. Otherwise stick with support drives IMO
Ironically I'm here looking for a PSU... Antec HE550 and True Power500 both have problems. I have never had so many frequent issues with PSUs before. I just hope the 550 didn't fry the rest of the kids PC, sure smelled like it should. The other one doesn't want to kick over when warm.
I'd have to say they are pretty comparable with you getting the slight better end of the stick. I'm just curious, why all the troubles and the shipping costs for a 3-4 year old 8600gt? Seems like your shipping cost to the states and then to the manufacture and back to you could be possibly more...
because he has a retail CD and a upgrade KEY. Sounds like all that is lacking is the upgrade media. That's assuming that you can edit the cd to allow an Upgrade key to work with the retail media.
Unfortunately I do not have a URL to give you since they where customized for each user (I think...
That's correct... wife jumped on the wagon with the same deal. It was the upgrade version.
Sounds like you should download the ISO from DR and proceed installing as you originally would with the upgrade media, but with the 32 bit key.
you do realize that PP has a clause where you can only file a claim within X amount of time, right? Also, I think if you cancel a dispute, you are SOL. I was going to mention it to you before as a recommendation to research, but the MOD clearly stated no other replies .
Ultimately we would need to know which video card you have. The video card would be the better upgrade to the point where the CPU was the limitation. That said, there is more to know. I understand that you are specifically WTB mb/cpu combo, but it might not be all what you need... Just tossing...
bump for nice monitor.. Wife bought me one for gift a few years back. It's the best monitor I have ever owned .. Too bad I'm now needing monitor room rather than quality or I'd be sending a pm.
