I am using a Samsung SyncMaster 225BW monitor with an old school GeForce 4ti 4200. My screen sometime blinks on and off, and sometimes will not show unless I push the screen off and then back on. I believe I am running the most recent drivers for my monitor, and I have updated my drivers for...
So if I have it setup as Green + Red, will I have problems with my wireless laptop users? Or will they still be able to connect to the internet and be behind the firewall as well?
Okay here is my complete Setup. Please help me fill in the missing pieces in bold, or let me know if someone...
No I can't get the internet working at all with it plugged in.
I think I setup the Green right, but I believe the problem is how I am setting up the Red part. If I have wireless laptops using this network, so I need to setup a Blue?
I don't know why it won't take my password.
Hey, Thanks for the help. But I can not seem to get this setup correct! I have read mutliple install articles and I am still having problems. Can you help me finish this project?
I am running a Green + Red Network Interface. Is this correct? I am worried because I have read that Blue is...
Well I disabled the DHCP and I'm still having problems.
What type of Network Configuration Type would I be?
I have my connection from:
DSL Modem -> IPCop Firewall -> Linksys Router -> 1 wired PC & 2 Wireless Laptops?
I think this is why I'm having problems with the install. Can someone...
If you don't have any firewalls, it's not a port forwarding issue. I would double check within AVG and see how you are connecting to download the updates. You might not have the download from internet option installed? If that's not it, what error is it specifically telling you?
I have an old PC and I am looking at putting IPCop on it to run as a firewall. I will have 2 wireless laptops on the network as well as 1 hardwired PC. Will I just need 2 network LAN cards? Can I plug the hardwired PC into the Linksys Router or will I need to plug it directly to the dedicated...
It sounds to me a simple windows volume control versus your receiver problem. I had the same hiss sound until I played and tweaked with the levels between both. I found that I keep my Sound Volume out of my PC near off and for some reason this helps reduce the "Hiss" sound, which almost sounds...
Would Text on Component Cables be a huge improvement over S Video?
I could see it being a big improvement on Video, because of the different variation in color signals.
Is the text running through PC to TV via Component Cable worth buying a new graphics card?
I also just stumbled...
I've got the SVideo setup right now on a "dual setup". The TV looks great when playing DVD's and Video's, but it really lacks the ability to read TEXT. I've played around with the settings and resolutions, but can not seem to make it useable for internet and typing. I've played around with the...
After reading through that forum's post..I dont see why the Sapphire 550Pro is getting a bad reputation.
After this post by thatdude90210 on Page 10, it does not seem like it's bad at all.
The only real negative seems to be that the sound is lower than other TV Tuner cards. Simply...
To create a HTPC to use at my home and in my apartment away at college. I mainly want something to use where I can record TV shows, and watch them on my TV rather than on my PC monitor. As well as recorded TV Shows, I also want to be able to watch DVD's on my TV through my PC as...
I'm just trying to do a simple recording from the microphone input on my computer and have a continous recording. What type of programs do such an easy task? I'm not looking for something complex, just somethign to record the Mic Volume. Any suggestions?
I love mine. It is on the small side, but that's why I bought it. It has the same capabilities as cases bigger..and I have felt that this case doesnt have "wasted space". It's beautiful, the pictures can't visualize how clean it looks.
Another dumb question, but how do I find out the battery life and the chipset?
Well I just got PNY 512MB for Christmas! I love the new ram. It's the diference between night and day!
And for the HD in case anyone was wondering..
the HD Model # is ST94019A and the RPM speed is 4200...
Ok thanks guys.
I thought an SVideo cable has a standard 4 Pin, two on each side with the black rectangle plugin?
The one on my laptop is a Rectangle, 4 Row Pin, 2 Row Pin, and a smaller rectangle at the bottom. Is there a new SVideo cable that came out recently?
I found the audio...
So I do want the drives hooked into the SATA1 and SATA2 spots ?
Will I have to reformat once I change to this option and to get the two drives working separately?
What Bios changes do I need to look for?
Could someone show me some examples of cables I might need?
I dont see a standard Monitor cable around the back or front, but I do have plenty of 3 RCA cable jacks and S Video Jacks.
Would NewEgg have any of these cables?
They are not brand new drives. I have Windows XP Pro with SP2 installed on one of the drives.
It seems that I have screwed with everything so much I cant get it to even load windows!
I'm so frustrated, these drives havent worked for awhile.
What do I need to do to get these two to work?
I have a HP Pavilion zv5360us notebook. I'm wanting to plug it into my 52" DLP TV to play the notebook's audio and video through the TV.
What type of adapter do I need? It has the blue monitor female plugin on the back.
I tried to get it to give me an error, but I've messed around with it so much now D isnt even showing up.
Do I need to reformat to get the two drives to work on a fresh install? Or can it be done via Windows Settings/Bios Settings?
What exactly do I need to do to get the two working as...
During the Thanksgiving day sales, I managed to find a HP Pavilion zv5360us for $800 on sale at CompUSA. I couldnt believe the deal! Stats Link
I had to look twice at the deal, but I finally went for it. It was only on sale from 4pm-10pm, so I went an hour early and got lucky number 6 out...
Is there a program that anyone knows of or an easy way of making a list that displays the contents of files and it's subfolders?
I found a view, but all they do is literally print the contents on paper instead of being able to save the list in a notepad.
If anyone has any software or...
