Got 2nd G7 Neo. Same problems as previous one in terms of picture quality. But no dust, it got a green stucked sub pixel instead. Only really visible on black without local dimming enabled :D. But the hdr is total fake. Hdr 1000 measured with test windows :D. Hdr 150 max. at day time scenes ...

G8 isnt good, but the ag coating is a minor disadvantage compared with other flaws like scanlines, dse, color shift, dimming algo + hdr tonemapping broken, popping noises and very wobbly stand. G7 is using a much slower panel. Tested it. The motion blur is @ 165 hz way more worse than on the G8...

The ag-coating isn't disgusting. There are way more grainy ag-coatings on other monitors. Like the LG 27GN950 oder PG259QN(R) for example. The main problem of the Neo G8 are the scanlines. They very disgusting. Very visible on any more saturated color.

Nope, iam monitor tester. I have tested nearly every wqhd - uhd gaming (also some special fhd monitors like the PG259QN(R) and some special 60 hz uhd displays like the 32EP950) monitor since 2015. Iam only accepting monitors without major flaws.

@xDiVolatilX Your gigabyte monitor (tv :D) is using AUO crap panel. I had 11 PG32UQX (AUO panel) for each 3500 Euros, 9 with dust. I had 15 G9 Neo ordered over a half year span. 13 with dust. 1 clean was dead after 1 day, the other had loud popping noises and very bad scan lines. I gave up...

One guy with PG27UQ has noticed the cheap hdr of the Neo G8. Very rare experience.

Both are crap. The G7 has significant more washed out colors and much less brightness at hdr as the G8 Neo. I know, hardwareunboxed has reported differently. He never checked real world hdr content. Only his test patterns. I have tested today and yesterday a lot hdr demos on G7 Neo and G8 Neo...
