Wow. I just lived in Port Hueneme for a year and worked in Camarillo. Ventura County is super nice.
I'd totally buy one of the optiplex machines if I still lived there. GLWS and free bump.
Apparently, Samsung packed the wrong power supply with it. It's supposed to be 14v 3.22a, but they supplied a 1.7a power supply. The correct one will be here today. Hopefully that fixes it.
Ok, Twitch does it too. It's definitely volume related, though. Turning the volume down definitely stops the issue.
Turning the speakers on the monitor itself down the 30 stopped it.
Quick update.
It seems to only do it with YouTube videos so far. Twitch and everything else works fine. If I turn down the YouTube volume to 75%, everything is fine.
So, I have this monitor sitting around. It's a Samsung c27f591. I had a guy ask me if I had a monitor with speakers, because he'd like to buy one. So, this one was sitting around doing nothing, and I thought it would be good for him.
I went to test the audio, and the screen keeps turning on and...
It's an i3 2100, but I'm really looking for something with sata 3 now. What are the specs of the deal mATX?
Is that a 1070, or 7010 mt?
It's an i3 2100, so sandybridge.
Just looking for a cheap mATX or ATX 1155 motherboard to use with an old i3. B75 would be preferred, or anything with a usb3 slot. Not a deal breaker if it doesn't have that, though.
Please pm me with what you have.
Well, my girlfriend just expressed the need for a NAS to store all of her streams and media, so it looks like that's the route I'm going with it. I'll just do an in home server for her to use as backup. I have very little experience with networking, it's definitely my biggest weakness. It'll be...
I think I'm going to do a socket A/462 Athlon xp build for it. I had a 2500+ Barton chip back in the day, and I'd like to play with that legendary cpu again.
Just knowing it's officially coming after being in development hell was enough. The trailer dripped the atmosphere we all know and love, too. It was a nice teaser for the old school fans. Seeing the village from SoC, throwing the bolt into the electrical anomaly, etc., the music. It just oozed...
Doesn't have to be period specific, just period compatible. I'm fine going with later model stuff, as long as drivers work. In fact, I'm a firm believer in "there's no such thing as overkill".
I used to have a SilverStone SG03. That's a super tiny and compact matx case, as well. The psu sits on top of the cpu, though. Cable management is non existent, too. It's very pretty, though.
I don't think they make it any more.

Smaller than a lot of ITX cases, but doesn't support a full PSU. If you're looking for compact, you're going to have to sacrifice something. SFX power supplies are great.
I'm planning out a 98 rig for my girlfriend. She's a retro streamer, and likes to use original hardware whenever possible. I figure a 98 rig for retro PC games would be fun. I'm just not sure what graphics card to go with. I was thinking about a Geforce 4 ti 4200, as the 4400 and up tend to have...
As the title suggests. I've had this cpu and 16gb of memory sitting around. It isn't really worth enough to go through the trouble of selling it, so I'm looking for ideas for an interesting build with it. I know it's dated, but that's a part of the fun.
I still like using a sound card and I have extra USB 3.0 slots. I've thought about going ITX, but I don't like giving up potential expansion. There are some super compact and very usable mATX cases out there now.
The gpu is going to severely limit you.
I O, the best VR game, and the reason I bought my Rift, is Elite: Dangerous. They have done a great job with VR support for it.
I just pulled these out of storage, and the pads are in real rough shape. They still sound great, so I'd like to find replacement pads for them. Not sure on what the top pad is even called, or where to find suitable replacements. If it's too expensive, I'd be better off just buying a new set...
