Well done. As others have requested, if you have the change, comments on noise and a comparison to the 1080 Ti would be great additions to this review.

Can owners of this monitor please comment on their settings? I'm using custom colour profile, with RGB all set to 100%. Brightness at 12, contrast at 70 and sharpness at 30%.

I don't have many monitors to compare but given your description, I feel mine is not a good example (pics linked above) so it might be worth swapping to see if I get a better one?
My U2415 arrived, and I have it set up in clone dual display next to my 2405FPW. Initial impressions:
- Surprisingly little has changed image quality wise despite the nine year gap between the models
- Faint banding can be seen on the 2405FPW for continuous colour ranges, not the case on the...

Asus Z87-Plus BIOS 1007 (problems are worse with the 1204, HD never recognised by BIOS)
Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic (still not stable, like the HD, sometimes chooses not to work, though it...
I tried that, and it seems to have no impact. The motherboard still doesn't recognise the drive at times. There's not even a cold / warm boot pattern. Also, if I didn't mention before, the drive is not recognised on the Asmedia ports under either 1007 nor 1204 BIOS.
Can you tell me what menu that is under please?
Also, another problem with the 1204 BIOS was my Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic bombing out in use, and often not working upon logging in to windows. It needed me to disable then re-enable it in device manager. With 1007, it seems to be fine.
Thanks. I can confirm that reverting to the 1007 BIOS corrected the problem. If you guys could work out what caused the issue, and correct it for the next BIOS release, I'd be much obliged.
To highlight, the drive that was not detected, was a Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB.
I'm having a problem with my new Haswell / Z87 build.
It was all working perfectly initially, with 4 x SATA II HDs, 1 x SSD (SATA III) and 1 x DVD-RW connected, all to the motherboard SATA connectors on my Asus Z87-Plus.
I did two BIOS updates, first to 1007, and then to 1204.
I now have an...
I've just installed a new Hitachi 250GB SATA drive on my Asus K8N-E Deluxe (NF3 250gb chipset).
I've already used the 2 SATA controllers that are on the mobo and am now using one of the 4 connected through the SI RAID controller.
Going into the BIOS I've tried a number of combinations of...
My machine still sometimes powers off very soon after being turned on but never does it on a restart. I'm starting to think it is a power draw issue. Perhaps the combined effect of a big, quality PSU (Tagan 420W) with all my devices (4xHD, 1 Optical, beefy GFX, USB devices) and a large monitor...
This is what I get for trying to build a box after 4 hours sleep.
The Power switch WAS on the wrong pins. I discover this after taking the mobo out the case to eliminate grounding issues.
Man I'm dumb.
Good luck with your problem xkilla101, I'll probably be at your stage in an hour! :p
You have got further than me!
I'm putting together a very similar system, Asus K8N-E Deluxe, A64 3000, Tagan 420W PSU. I can't get it to power up at all. I get the green light on the mobo but nothing happens when I hit the power button :(
I currently have a CM 201C case which has dual intakes on the front and a top and rear exhaust. I like the case but it has a couple of dents and is a bit noisy (may well be down to the 3 HDs and fan on my 9500 pro, not sure yet) despite me swapping all four fans for quieter ones.
I'm thinking...
