Hmm, it seems like your display is getting the full 24 bit color information or else you would see some sort of banding. My feeling is that some displays shipped with the 24 bit color enabled, and others with the limited video color mode. Hopefully the setting is in the service menu somewhere...

are these confirmed to be D9GMHs? From the few reviews I checked out googling using the part number, they were only able to clock these sticks to about 900. The reviews were from a while ago and the pics show the old style heatspreaders, so maybe they've changed since then...

well, looks like the Elpidas are not bad, but not spectacular either. They will do 900 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v. That is the max vdimm on the board I'm using them in so I don't know how much further they will go with more voltage.

just received the 4 I ordered on Monday. All of them are Elpida 6E-E. Oh well, I guess this is not a bad second choice for the price. I haven't tested them yet, but I think those chips are known to clock pretty well. It would be surprising if they didn't hit 900, and with a little luck even 1000.
