I'm currently using the X370GTN together with a Cryorig C7 (using the NF-A9x14) on my Ryzen 1600. The temps are fine as I'm not overclocking (full load ~78C in OCCT using large data set. I think it was ~82C using medium data set). In idle the temps are like ~48C. I haven't gotten my new GPU yet...
Nope, the card is simply too thick. I decided to mount my old GPU so that I can start using my build until I have been able to return the card and get another one.
Wow, really? While looking at Prisjakt (The swedish PriceSpy site) it says that the RX 580 Nitro+ is 43mm (2,2 slots) thick (or wide I guess) and that the RX 570 Nitro+ is the same. But looking at for example pricespy.co.nz it says that RX 580 Nitro+ is 2,2 slots (without any measurement) while...
I'm devastated. On tuesday I had finally gotten hold of all my parts (waiting the longest for the Biostar X370GTN) and the Cryorig C7 AM4 bracket. I put all the components in the case and was so happy. But... I only ran the system quickly as a test without the side panels on. Yesterday when I...
Yeah, I've been waiting for a new build for quite a while now. Waiting for Ryzen and the A4 for probably two or maybe even close to three years. Can't wait to start buying the rest of the components. Sooooo close. Running a 2500k right now. It performs well but it's just fun to build something new
That was exactly what I was thinking. When I'll be able to do a Ryzen build in the case I'll see if the Wraith Stealth will fit or if it would fit with a thinner fan. The launch of ITX motherboards couldn't be here soon enough. The case has been empty for almost two months now! :)
Yeah, that's the size of the Wraith Spire, I want to know the dimensions of the Wraith Stealth which seems to be a lower version of basically the same cooler:)
What do you guys think about the dimensions of the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler? I've only read about the Wraith Spire but that one is simply too big. Can't seem to find any info regarding it's size :/
Yeah, but unfortunately there's no word of when it will be released. Hopefully AM4 itx boards will start to get released in just a few weeks. But I want one now! :-(
I also didn't receive my shipping email. But I contacted Dan on kickstarter and he gave me the tracking link from DHL after a day. :)
Now the case has been sitting in it's box for a few weeks waiting for AM4 mitx boards. Seems like I'll have to wait a little longer though. Can't wait to start...
As already written by XstreamHard, the coolers from Noctua with more heatpipes are coolers that already are quite massive to begin with (one or even two towers that are thicker and wider). The design we're currently discussing is quite small in comparison. Just adding more and more heatpipes...
I'm just wondering if there's really any need for six heatpipes in the design Dan has made. The mass isn't all that big and decreasing to four heatpipes might be a better choice. As mentioned by XstreamHard, the heatpipes block of some of the airflow and reduces fin area.
I guess Noctua or...
Sure hope Noctua or Thermalright agree to cooperate with you and that a prototype will get made quite soon. A kickstarter in the early summer would be nice. I'm just worried that we are able to get our hands on it no earlier than this time next year. Either way, I'm interested :-)
I guess I'm in the minority. I just want a heatsink that allows for a rather cool and quiet operation. Being able to OC is just a bonus, but not a must for me. If OC'ing was a must, I'd stick with my ATX build. I'm really interested in what you will come up with, and I might be interested...
Yeah, I know about the C7 mounting kit but I kinda removed the C7 from my list since we got all these reports about the cooler being to loud in this case. The C7 combined with the NF-A9x14 might still be and option though. Nice to see I'm not alone thinking about coolers for AM4 though! :-)
Anyone waiting for Ryzen that has decided what cooler to use with this case? I'm started to be a little worried since the options seems even more limited with this socket. Noctua won't have any mounting kits for the NH-L9 until the end of the year.
*edit*
Correction, I have no clue at all which...
Would going for a 100mm fan really do that much difference instead of going for 92mm? As long as all ITX boards (at least most :p) are supported and there are support for the AM4 socket I'm definitely interested :)
*edit*
About the 92mm fan question, that was based mostly on compability concerns.
I emailed ID-cooling about AM4 mounting kits for the IS-40v3 cooler. They will have them next month. Since Noctua wont supply AM4 kits for NH-L9 at least for a few months, the IS40-v3 might be an option for me :)
Interesting that overclockers sold out the black one so fast. Still a few left of the silver version. I wonder how many they got since it only said "10+".
Now, back to waiting for the kickstarter case. No hurry really since I'm thinking about a Ryzen build, but it would be nice to just receive...
So I got this answer from Jonsbo. At least we now know that it's not an option for those going with AM4.
Dear Petter,
First of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in our HP-400.
I am sorry to tell you that in this moment there is no plan to make it supporting future CPU.
But of...
It would be really interesting to know where these are available. I went to jonsbo.eu (From the "Where to buy" on their website) but they don't even have it there. Google doesn't seem to give me any places either except a few news and threads about that cooler.
*edit*
I found two chinese sites...
I guess this is a response to what I wrote about the mounting kit;
Probably not, but it's always nice to be able to switch the C7 fan for something quieter, even if it's still a 15mm fan. Personally I'm allergic to coolers where they use their own type of mounting so that you can't switch the...
Is it the one in the picture below? Then I'm wondering how you're supposed to add a fan under the heatsink. Cut off the support thingies that are under the heatsink, right?
*edit*
I saw someone in the Sentry thread mention that Cryorig are currently developing a universal fan mounting kit for...
Interesting. My mind was set on the C7 but now I might rethink that and get a NH-L9 with a 25mm fan.
I wonder what Noctua would be able to accomplish if they made a version of NH-L9 with a one centimeter thicker heatsink. It would be interesting to compare the temps of such a version and the...
Even though I would like the case as soon as possible , I wouldn't use it just yet, except for having something to have wet dreams about.
I will probably start my build in february. As I'm not gaming all that much at the moment I'm prioritizing a quiet build. A four core Zen, Cryorig C7, a...
