If you guys are still having issues. Disable the dlcs and then try again. Once it's done, you can enable dlc. That worked for me, not sure about you guys.

I can chip away at her life bar. The Giant was the same, instant kill me in one hit, while I chip away at his life bar. Every hit is slightly noticeable on the life bar. If she was susceptible to burning, she'd be dead, but shes not.... at least not on my level.
