Nice edit, guess you didn't feel like you were talking out your ass enough. Have you not ever heard the term "bottleneck"?
Maybe learn a thing or two about properly utilizing the NVidia control panel, and MAYBE you can figure out your own issues. ;)
Game is fucking amazing. I've put over 30 hours just in this weekend already.
Runs amazing on my PC, only issues I have is the occasional hitching, usually when just starting the game or just randomly. I chalk that up to my aging processor, though...as when hitching occurs my processor is...
Games as a service aren't bad, and there are still plenty of story driven games out there.
You hear about them the most because they tend to have the most longetivity, popularity, etc. I guaran-fucking-tee you the next Elder Scrolls, Cyberpunk, etc game is going to soar across the internet...
Most VR games only last 1 play through...and those games are only about 6 hours max.
Games that keep me going back: Echo VR, Blade and Sorcery (omg the mods), Pavlov, and Beat Saber. Beat saber becomes a workout routine in the expert/expert+ levels :)
I'll believe it when I see it. AMD has yet to impress me with anything they've done with video cards.
Even if they do drop something huge, I'm almost certain that Nvidia has been drip feeding GPU upgrades. I wouldn't be surprised if they have some major improvements shelved until something...
So Oculus had a bunch of reps go all over the US to demo the Rift...they need to do that more often. I feel like if more people experienced a proper VR headset with touch controllers, it wouldn't take long to go from a niche market to blowing up.
I usually shit on the PSVR headset, but...
Try selling online on ebay or something
International buyers are pretty big on getting VR headsets...or used to a couple of years ago. I sold mine twice as much as retail to some dude in bangkok. Make sure to go through Paypal, no problem.
Got an oculus update last night (PTC) and all my issues are gone! Only thing left is the occasional static flash (barely troublesome), and I'll have ZERO issues.
Those guys in charge of patching are doing one hell of a job.
with the latest PTC, all my tracking issues have been resolved.
Biggest problem I face right now though is the right "grip" button being delayed on release. Makes it really hard to throw/drop things consistently...in pavlov and Contractors I've grenaded myself several times. Weird thing...
Everyones favorite, bloody gladiator game that makes you destroy your house is coming out of early access finally.
Bunch of new stuff is being added and bugs fixed...it's already a solid game so can't wait to see what comes....and hopefully not destroy anything in the process.
Rift S is STUPID easy.... Back in the DK2 days, it took 30 minutes and an act of god to get everything working great...3-4 years later it's maybe 5 minutes to get into a game and play.
Also worth mentioning the Quest...which is probably the best AAA "average joe" gaming one can get. A...
That's a great idea...it'd also help you tell if you're completely in the play area.
So seeing how the audio is...ok...anyone have recommendations on earbuds for the rift s? I tried mine but the cable is too long and I keep yanking it. I guess a velcro tie could help, but just wondering what...
