Arm is not organized enough in my opinion to ever be a true threat, just another option.
Last I checked TSMC did not design the Zen cores, most people had wrote off AMD when they surprised everyone by suddenly being competitive with Intel again. So let's not give TSMC too much credit, AMD does...
Been repeated many times, yet X86 is still here and will continue to be. Software is what drives the hardware and until emulating x86 is almost as fast as a X86 cpu then X86 cpu's will continue to sell just fine. You might be more accurate on the server front but even that change will be slow.
I think people overrate the current capabilities of supposed AI. It also takes a ton of processing power for it to do much of anything, were decades away from it really being able to really think for itself. An AI designed game and graphics would be a laughable thing to se though.
Got to give him at least 10 more pages of saying the exact same thing, because someone disagreed with him.
Not having to upscale a image was one of the main reasons people paid the extra for computer gaming hardware, if everything has to be upscaled then it's really not different from...
If this was the best Nvidia can do, then the 1080 card I had might be the last Nvidia card I owned. Software gimmicks have always been a crutch to real hardware performance. It also seems clear that Nvidia has put gaming on the back burner of importance, well until AI hardware sales get...
I am sure someone can't wait to increase their credit card debt on it, whole goal as a company is to part that foolish person from their money. Asus is very good at it.
Nothing sketchy is going on at all here. Been going on for years that some games preform better on one architecture over the other, likely due to them working closely with the manufacturer. Difference is now is because people paid so damn much for the 4090, if it performs worse or equal to a...
Even at that, they will know that was a overseas product and may deny a claim on it. Most likely you will be fine, but if there is a issue, you would be on your own with the seller.
I would not worry about the temp, these chips push themselves right up to the limit and should live well beyond the next time you upgrade your system. Or you could make it a excuse to build a custom water cooling setup to drop the temps by about 10 C.
It's a issue with the panel, especially if it's a VA panel, make sure it has the latest firmware for the display as they did updates to try to minimize this issue. Also the article you linked to has some settings you can tweak to reduce the issue, but I find HDR on a VA panel to be bad no matter...
If I did not get my house painted for trading away my 1080 card I would not have got my 6900XT, paying a grand for a card was just nuts in my mind, but getting my house painted and a new video card for a grand was tolerable, got to love the mining craze. Sadly I feel the market will remain...
When there are two standards competing, one is going to come out the loser. Beta was superior to VHS, but VHS won out as it cheaper and embraced by the Movie industry, while Beta lost out because it was more expensive despite being a superior quality picture because it needed more tape.
Being...
Looked fine in Hogwarts when I tried it out just to see. In motion it's much harder to notice differences. However despite all the praise, I can spot DLSS/FSR use when it's turned on, creates obvious noise in the picture. Thus why I'd rather use native resolution over FSR or DLSS, both are...
So do you have some links to verified publishers or developers actually stating this? Reddit and Twitter does not exactly do it for me, since anyone can create a account and pretend to be someone else. It just wouldn't make much sense to bite the hand that just gave you money to help finish up...
Or I don't know, you could just buy a card that gets the job done without all that crap being needed. FSR works on everything and thus why you see it being used more and more these days. DLSS is proprietary and unless Nvidia wants to pony up cash or assistance then it's likely to go the same way...
The game just may not like the architecture, some games favor the x3d parts and some just don't respond to it. Usually it's not a huge deal and it may recieve a patch down the line that corrects this issue. Cpu's can be a touch complicated these days.
Show one post of mine extoling the virtues of FSR or DLSS, I think they both suck unless your desperate for the frame rate. I also said nothing about pirating it, just not going to spend money on a mod when there are free alternatives out there, like most people.
China you say, even more...
If there is a free option, then people are going to take that path, simple fact games are expensive and paying for a Mod is not going to be a priority for people. BattleTech Advanced 3062 goes far beyond what this mod does and is completely free, otherwise they would get a Cease and Desist...
Business has reached a point that they don't care if you quit now, they want people back at the office at least a couple times a week now. I expect it to become harder and harder to remain in jobs that are solely work at home.
Cool story, literally don't care. Plays my games well and that is all that matters to me, I also see no benefit to 4K and I tried ray tracing in a couple of games, just was not that impressive at all, strained on Hogwarts to notice a difference. Just don't have room on my desk for a screen...
Yeah I did, meant nothing to me when I bought the 6900XT, I also don't plan to upgrade again as it plows through anything I play at 1440p. I wanted a raster powerhouse and it fit the bill and was cheaper and easier to find then the Nvidia 3090. Pretty much 100 fps or better at maxed out settings...
Personally I could care less if it has FSR or DLSS, perhaps it just runs fine without gimmicks to keep it at playable frame rates, hell it may not even have ray tracing in it at all. At this rate of absurd logic, will have people wanting FSR or DLSS for Civilization games.
This thread has the info for the vulnerability they are talking about.

Possible, some companies embrace the modding community, however I know nothing about Roblox. But it is exceedingly rare for a company to embrace a mod that charges for a mod, as they fear if there is a issue with it, then it will tarnish their image. Plus they want to make money on their IP, not...
Because he is profiting off of their proprietary software and if doesn't work right or has issues then Nvidia takes the black eye over it. I expect a cease and desist order soon. This is why almost all mods are free, for profit ones almost always get shut down.
Turn off Ray tracing, not worth the performance hit for only minimal difference in looks. Also some of those dips are because it's loading a area while your running or walking and can cause that fps dip, use a NVME drive. Plays just fine on my 6900XT at 1440p that way with a 132 fps average...
I take it you have never heard the term "unsustainable". You can build anything if money is no object, but if you want to sell it, then your cost better reflect what people will pay for it and based on sales numbers so far it looks like they are crossing that point.
Intel cards are pretty cheap...
