Good points. My assumption is based on my experience, currently I am running at 120Hz without any tearing. Not sure if I can deal with synced 75Hz. Would be also good to hear from people coming from 120/144Hz to synced 60/75Hz… Again, my assumption is 100Hz un-synced would provide a better...

I did not take it in a wrong way and actually appreciate the input (no pun intended) :). Looks like I will be keeping my Rog Swift for a bit longer, as much as I would like to get a bigger display.

Not sure what the lag of "27" QHD screen" is to begin with. I'm guessing total of over 30ms for the 40 inch? :(

I dont believe VGA connection per se is the issue since Philips 242G5DJEB also has a VGA input and has zero input lag.

Looks like the monitor is already released in Korea. I almost bought one from eBay if it was not for the latency concerns.

I'm not holding my breath given their past record. Here are their very recent results against other UHD displays ASUS PB287Q using the same panel. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

They were generic cables from eBay. If you Google displayport pin 20 it seems like this issue can span brands. I took a chance and replaced the old cables with another set from eBay wich works without any issues.

Yes. I temporarily snipped the pin 20 wire. This got me going for now. Also, ordered another set from ebay prior to finding out the root cause. If these do not work I will get the following, they should be in spec...

Update, Shamino and the team from Asus were able to replicate the problem. In short, it was caused by out of spec displayport cables. Pin 20 was used, but should not have been connected. It was leaking voltage into the video cards. Thanks Shamino, Raja, and Mason for helping to resolve this...
