i wouldn't really recommend it. it was a bit of a headache to do a clean job of it.

Ah! I managed to fix it. I think it was a faulty dvi cable. i switch to an hdmi and it worked. kind of annoyed with myself i didn't try that before dismantling everything a few times before i tried that...

can you post a link to the replacement low profile mosfet heatsinks you've ordered?

Which direction do you have the fan oriented? Are you pushing air out through the heatsink or pulling through towards the cpu?

They did give me a tracking number but I forgot to check it.
