I don't have Cyberpunk to install, but I mostly use Botles now. I always had some issues with Lutris, probably my own stupidity. I also never had any problems with Heroic Games Launcher for GOG and EA games. I'm on Fedora and use Bottles via Flatpak. Found the following video with Google...

I think samba would be available to anyone on your network that can supply the correct username and password. You could limit samba to certain IPs if you wanted. The shares aren’t Inherently open to the internet, you’d have to open a connection via some other option like vpn tunnel.

Ranking of Linux Distrubitions from Best to Evil

I've posted some on my distro changes over the years in a thread in the Linux sub-forum titles Feeling the itch for a change. I'm still using Fedora and it's been 99% trouble free. There was an update recently that caused issues with non-default screen resolutions that affected my laptop. I...

It could be an issue with the packaging of Bottles? I think I ran into some issues with the version in the Fedora repos, but so far never a problem with the Flatpak version.

I don't notice an issue with Battle.net, mine is 2.24 which appears to be the latest and I don't see any notifications or anything asking me to update again.

I run battle.net and D4 on 2 Fedora machines with Bottles via Flathub, I don't run GE Proton, just changing from Soda to SysWine was the only non default option I chose and Bottles installed the rest.

Diablo IV - The Real Official Thread

Played a shadow/ce necro before season, now trying out blood lance with pets (no golem) in s1. So far so smooth at lvl 46. Legendary drops have been way slower which made it hard to find some lance affixes I needed till recently. I'm still far from optimized and still trying some things out...

Titus is okay, I've enjoyed some of his videos in the past. This is just his opinions. Funny that Fedora is the devil but Nobara is amazing for beginners since since Nobara is just Fedora plus some gaming tweaks. I tried Nobara after using Fedora for awhile. I ran into issues with Nobara...

Diablo IV - The Real Official Thread

This is my first Diablo as I came from more of an EQ background than arpg’s. I like exploring and doing all the side quests. I changed to tier 2 around lvl 15 or so As I started learning to play a bit more. I was less than half way through the 2nd main area and level 40 or so when I looked...

Linux Screenshot sucks really really bad

Sounds like you are using Gnome? Go to your hotkey options and look up screenshot. You want your default print screen option set to "Take a screenshot interactively" I think. For this laptop it's called my Launch key.

Linux Screenshot sucks really really bad

Never seen that happen. Which screenshot program are you using? Pretty much only remember just hitting print screen button to launch the capture program, defining the area to capture, and capturing it. Has worked over any app I ever wanted to capture.

D4 - First time playing this series. I tried POE briefly some years ago but always had some performance issues and I was still on old MMORPG grind otherwise my first real foray into ARPG. I haven't played much of anything the last two years and I'm definitely more into solo play now than MMO...

Feeling the itch for a change....

i haven’t played WoW in forever or any other Blizzard title but wanted to try Diablo 4. I used Bottles which has an auto installer for Battle.net and only changed it from Soda to default Wine. It installed Battle.net no problem and used the app to install Diablo 4. So for so good running...

    Anybody here running Debian?

It is named "root" and it's home directory is /root as a normal users home directory is /home/"user". If you want to login to a graphical UI with root you'll likely have to do some editing to files to make that possible, and it is not recommended from a security standpoint.

I used Debian before Fedora and only switched because I bought a new system with hardware newer than Debian supported and I didn't want to go through doing the work on drivers and such. All that's in my other thread. Debian is great if you just want plain, simple, less updating unless for...

Desktop GPU Sales Lowest in Decades

It’s not just the expense, but you just get more mileage on a card now. How many people ar even playing at 4K? What’s the drive for 8K? I think most are still playing at 1080p or 2K and upgrading isn’t needed so much. I went from GTX 960 to 6700XT last year and probably will stay there for 5...

They weren’t top 3 largest banks, but were #16. They tied up investments long at low rates and had to sell them at a loss for short term needs, duration mismatch. That worked okay in a falling interest rate world, but that ended last year. Most uninsured deposits will get made whole...
