So you are implying 4090 is good value? my wallet begs to differ.
I`d agree its the only GPU that makes some sense , but that just NVidia upselling us by making the others so poorly valued
I`m waiting for benchmarks to be sure, but i was planning on a 3D Cache zen 4 for quite some time , 7800X3D looks like my next CPU (currently running a 5800X which i will hand down to my kid )
We used to get montherboards without on board sound, lan, raid
What would a normal user need to add beside GPU?
at most more advanced users will add a raid controller or 10gbit lan maybe for specific uses.
audiophiles would prefer usb DAC anyways , and SLI is dead .
one extra slot is max i might...
probably more likely a 3-phase setup that is more common in homes today ( used today in most central AC units, induction stoves, EV Home Charging station etc.)
good thing we have US with 110v outlets keeping the pc power numbers sane . at around 1300-1600W .. most of the world its 2300W-3500W for single outlet (10-16A)
Unpopular opinion:
I`ve waited long enough to buy a new PC , too many reasons like waiting for 'the right time', not having available money when it was.
I haven't gamed on PC in years , got XSX which I barely even turn on.
When Zen 4 and 4000 series comes , I'll just pay whatever be settled...
People complaining Zen4 CPUs wont be fast enough , while im sitting here wanting to finally update and loving that its a new platform that will be 3-4 years future proof at least.
also , 5800X3D is not the fastest AMD you can get , it really shines in games and similar usage , but for...
Not sure how it is for china , but VAT is usually payed by the consumer that purchases the item, business don't pay VAT for merchandise they buy (or rather will get a VAT refund)
Honestly this barely warrants a thread , a studio that's way past its prime with maybe 1-2 IP that are mildly popular.
sound more like a weak response to Microsoft incredible move
it only applies to Bluetooth / Xbox , ie. you cant toggle between syncing two Xboxes , I tried.
you toggle between mode with double pressing the sync button iirc
I played a session , I know its beta so I'm giving them a break on the massive lags , major display bugs / clipping etc.
but I fail to understand why they changed the interface so much, need to relearn from 0 how to use this.
(and i`v played all BF games )
techspot review looks like copy&paste from HWUB , almost word for word , and they also seemed to ignore its a 144hz monitor not 155hz.
anyway i`m waiting for stock to show up in my country , will be buying asap
If you cant hit 60fps now , higher refresh rate wont help, unless your monitor is really unusable I'd wait another year for next round of 32/4k/144hz, otherwise its basically a sidegrade
Check again , beside the fact that they didnt even test 144hz on a 144hz monitor (155hz is undocumented oc that is nice to have but shouldnt be used for review) , they tested 155hz with OD lvl4 and got this:
vs TFTCentral 155hz
and its clearly shows that 144hz is better 'on target' than...
TFTCentral review paywall lifted , you can read now
https://tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/asus-rog-swift-pg32uq
*edit*
So i finished reading the whole review , i can say this review seems much more in depth than HWUB did , and the issue with response times doesn't even seem half as bad as HWUB...
Not complaining about the news , a refresh was expected . but I can already see the high MSRP , scalpers and shortages kill this release , sad times for gamers
This is getting funny , either TFTCentral are also on this thread or they are also wondering the same as me
and also reading this thread on rtings , seems like things are even more confused , they even talk about a firmware update...
I love that in 2021 people still think VPNs hide you from the government , they are great for geo restricted content and such like watching Netflix... but if you think you are truly anonymous on the internet I've got some bad news for you...
A question from another thread here, official specs aside, did anyone actually test this on Xbox Series X to see whether it forces chroma sub sampling at 4k/120hz ?
And amazingly enough , no current review or user here or anywhere that bought that monitor seems to have even tested it on XSX , so its a bit of a leap of faith to shell out 800-1000$ + taxes etc.
After watching this a more times going into the data more deeply , I believe this review was neither fair nor properly done
Sure he had some very valid argument regarding some issues , but this whole test was made using 155hz overclock (which he himself states was not in the official specs)...
There's no such thing as simply 'Gaming' , if you play FPS you would want a different monitor than if you play racing or 4X or mainly console for example
Whats the point of 144hz if the average response time is so high? Tearing is probably irrelevant anyway since this is freesync and gsync compatible. this looks closer in reality to 100\120hz panel
Not terrible but not exactly future proof and for 1000$ , well damn.
Not pleased at all with the response times, gonna wait for more reviews but its not looking good.
2021 failed to bring us the goods ('fast' ips , 144hz , (real) hdmi2.1 32")
I`d upgrade but my CPU is apparently too ancient ( 6700K) , i`m guessing they`ll reverse their policy for TPM chip sometime soon enough, they don't want win10 to live a day after win11 comes out.
