At some point, and perhaps we are close to being there, stuffing more transistors to brute force onto a package isn't the answer. It will be a combination of brute force and the AI upscalers. The trained AI upscalers/image enhancers are extremely efficient. Are they perfect? Nope. Could they be...
Loving this game so far. Only three hours in. It feels like Fallout to me, without Zombies, and I'm totally ok with that.
Thank goodness they gave us a mobile loot bank.
So weird seeing only 4.8GB of vram called when playing at 4K ultra/maxed.
I played 7R completely maxed and never experienced any of the issues that you speak of. Even ran great on my Steamdeck. I saw plenty of folks complaining about stuttering, but I never experienced it. Slow ssd problems?
As for XV, I didn't play it until the ultimate Windows Edition or whatever...
When I saw the OG thread was necro'd, I knew something bad happened.
I've read nearly all of his books and they are all thoroughly entertaining.
That Hackers 2 movie, as blasphemous as it was to the real story of KM, was when I really started to look into him and the Motorola "hack".
This is true.
VII came out when I was in 7th grade. It's also probably my most favorite game ever. Literally one of two games I had on my PSX, second being Twisted Metal.
It is a very depressing story. Many of the key battles even are depressing, with the way the music, or lack thereof played...
I have a stand-alone player for discs. Neither console has Dolby Vision support for disc, which is fucking bullshit. Been really happy with my Sony UBP-X700. DV discs go in the 700, HDR discs go in the XSX. The PS5 is in my office.
I remember the driver cheating fiasco in 3DMark2003 with these cards. Futuremark dropped the hammer on Nvidia for not rendering the backside of objects as called for, and when that was discovered, they invalidated all Nvidia scores. I still remember the amount of salt from that event being...
I am not a Harry Potter fan at all either. But I like easy going open world exploring type RPG's with more simple combats and not so much stress. I play to relax. If I want to have stroke-level blood pressure, I'll play DooM
I'm really bored with it. Level 41, started the game WT2, just started act ii. Corpse explosion Necro with reapers. Combat is just super fucking slow. My skeletons don't do shit and I have them pointed up. Not enough corpses to do anything but stay alive in boss fights.
May try out a WW barb or...
During one of the dev live streams, they did mention that RW's may come later.
The fact that one of the cosmetic skin armor pieces is a RW though, doesn't give me much hope for this. To me that reads "Ok, here's your Easter Egg, thanks for playing".
I really do just hate the itemization. There...
Getting the feeling that this is the way that it's going to be for me as well. I've been playing Diablo since the original when I was in middle school. Probably have 5+ years actual /played in D2 and about 2+ in D3.
I hate the item stat pool- we don't need 3 different stats to damage stunned...
I've got HDR on in W11, and had it on in-game. It looks washed out. Never looked right in the beta either, so I turned it off. On a CX48. Never saw the panel show it was being toggled for HDR either so I may have a setting wrong somewhere.
I really really liked the hybrid they did with FFVIIR.. I thought that was a perfect mix for both groups of players. Could still assign hot keys if you wanted for spells, keep real time battle going, or have the "bullet time".
I was also ok with the way XV worked, but it felt just...
I've 100%'d every offline FF game to ever release in the US lol. Played through most of 11, haven't touched 14.
Actually, I am missing one materia in 12, and the boss that is in it's room. Been meaning to go and get it, I just absolutely fucking hate The Great Crystal. It's not a "tough"...
Corsair 680X Crystal
360 rad up front intake
280 rad up top exhaust
Rear 240 exhaust
Bottom 240 x2 intake
Corsair d5 pwm pump always set to 100%
EVGA 3080Ti FTW! HYDROCOPPER, pretty good OC over factory, can't remember what exactly right now. Fairly significant on vram.
5700X, decently tuned...
Some big but minor upgrades over the Fold line.
Love the 5.8" front screen and what that entails for the inner screen.
Still no internal storage for a stylus and no IP66.
No 10x telephoto lense.
No weekend long battery even if just on the front screen.
I want to love foldable due to my job...
