I'd like some help making sure I thought of everything and if y'all could catch any problems or things I might want to change with my build.
So for the things missing from that list.
Rack Mount Case
I have alot of storage:
3x Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB
Ah good point, I didn't realize Raptor Lake came out Oct 20. And since its still LGA1700 i wouldn't have to switch the mobo.
Maybe I can also wait for the actual release of the 4000 series cards to get an even further drop in price on the 3000 series. Most modern games the 3000 series handles...
Y'all have always had solid adivce so I come here first before finalizing on a PC build.
PC Part Picker
I'm pretty partial to Intel processors and I want 64 gigs of ram.
This machine will mostly be used for gaming, VR, and I usually run 2-3 virtual machines (not all the time but...
I hadn't heard of the PC38X, I justed order 2 pairs and I'll try them out in our next gaming session to report on if my voice is picked up on her mic, good recommendation!
And true, I'm not playing on starting a music career and I don't stream often, so its probably not worth investing $2000+.
Hey everyone, I've asked around but I haven't gotten any solid answers on this. I'm a total audio noob, so hoping you use y'all expertise. I’m needing some PC audio help/advice. In my current office situation, my wife and I both have our gaming rigs and desks side by side, around 5 feet apart on...
I didn't know any of this, thanks for the detailed reply! So from what I understood, using the #2 x16 I would be slowing down/interfering with my GPU, which is currently in the top most x16 PCI slot. I need to either use the #3 x16 slot or use any of the x1 slots?
Yeah sorry I meant the 970 Evo. I'll take a look at that cheap one you linked.
I'll take a peak at the manual and see what it says, I know if I used both on board M.2 slots it will disable some sata ports but that's not an issue and the only think I have in a PCI slot current is my GPU.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a M.2 NVMe PCIe adapter, I have 2 Samsung 870 Evos 1TB and I want to add a third. I have a ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) and I'm currently using the 2 M2 slots on the board, so I figured PCIe could be the best to add another one (maybe 2). So...
I was luckily able to secure a 3080 and I want to build a PC quickly around it since I have no idea when other PC parts will be unobtainable.
PC Part Picker
I think I have everything I need in there but I'm super caught up in the hardware game to know if there is something I'm...
I really appericaite all the build comments, I swapped out the CPU for 10600K, don't need the overclock but the price was good, and I changed out the PSU for not modular so the cables bent easier. Also after alot of looking I do like the Cooler Master NR200 over the Node 304 (couldn't find that...
This will be my first micro PC build and I'd love a second set of eyes over the list.
PC Part Picker
On the link above I didn't include a GPU since I have no idea what to put in there, I've always used nvidia cards in the past but since they are crazy high right now I could go AMD...
I read through a few of your posts and I think I see some of your points.
Can you speak to this one:
27'' UltraGear 4K UHD Nano IPS 1ms 144Hz G-Sync Compatible Gaming Monitor
You said you currently have a 27' 4k IPS right?
So I currently have 2 of thses:
ASUS PB278Q 27" WQHD 2560x1440 IPS DisplayPort
I got those in 2014 and I didn't really know much about monitors (still don't). I've been from gaming buddies that the fact I'm still on 60hz hurts their soul. So I'm looking to refresh my monitors, my wife will get...
It's been a while since my last post, looking into suggesting parts for a friend, she already has a 2080Ti but the rest of the machine is pretty old so looking to update it. We are both Intel/Nvidia folk and have a bias toward ASUS mobos, so anything I should consider with this list...
Hey all, not sure if I should be asking here or the motherboards section but I need a recommendation.
Here is what I have:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GHz
16.0GB G.SKILL TridentZ F4-3200C14D-16GTZSK @ 1600MHz (14-14-14-34)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080...
There isn't a particular process taking all the resources when the computer lags and I'm running Windows 10.
I haven't tried disabling the RGB or monitoring but I have disabled the XMP in BIOS and that doesn't make a difference.
So I'm having this weird issue, when I boot up my machine I have about 2-3 hours of normal use then it will run into lag and stutters. If I move a mouse from one side of the screen to the other it will pause and skip across the screen. Games will have like 5 FPS and listening to music...
Here are my current specs:
Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z87-A
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (EVGA)
I got a great deal on a Intel Core i7-7700K (it's in the mail right now!) and i'd like to know what mobo and RAM I should pair...
I actually have a H100i on now, and just haven't OC'd since I wanted to get a few years of normal use outta the CPU for boosting it. But yeah maybe I'll look into that.
Anyone else have any input on this?
Hey everyone, I've been getting the itch to make a new rig after the tax refund. I'll tell you my current rig and I'd like to hear from the pros if now is a good time to upgrade or if I should wait. My system still feels pretty great so I'm on the fence about ridding this one till death or...
I'm looking for a solution for wireless gaming. I have a router at the other end of the house (roughly 45 feet away). I currently have a ASUS (RT-AC68U) Wireless-AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Router and a Asus (USB-AC56) Dual-band Wireless-AC1200 USB 3.0 Wi-Fi Adapter.
The issue is a few...
Anyone had this error before? I have a 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (EVGA) and a ASUS Z87-A (SOCKET 1150) mobo.
There are lots of threads about this just googling but I've tried everything I could find apart from reformatting. I've gone into safge mode and unsintalled all nvidia drivers and...
To add some more thoughts Case doesn't matter to me just something that works.
I've also heard good things about the Intel Pentium G3258, so I'd like thoughts on that, other wise I'll go with the non K version of an i5.
Hey everyone! I've been out of the game for a bit so I'm back asking the experts.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1000, I'd like to keep it as close as possible so cut corners where we...
