Did you see they are going to molest notepad too? They are adding tabs. file explorer too.
The only reason to add tabs to notepad and explorer is if you are one of those Neanderthals who runs every program maximized. There's a reason its called WINDOWS, people!!!!
I agree about the new connector needing better quality materials. If the connectors were made with ultem or torlon or any plastic that isn't recycled crap, this issue wouldn't exist
Why not just add a watercooling jacket around the connector? Or wrap a heatpipe around it? There is a market to sell more equipment, fixing the underlying problems seems financially short sighted.
The last time I needed quad+ precision numbers, I translated an arbitrary precision library. It worked great, except it was extremely slow.
Not something I use every day, but when you need it, you need it.
For what its worth, I went on a retro hardware resuscitation mission last week.
My main objective was to find out what was on a pair of Conner 420 Mb ide hard drives I have been toting around for the last 30 years. (I also have a lot of other stuff like 30 pin simms that I have absolutely no...
It will have its own self contained AI that will generate frames based on what it decides you want. In fact, you won't have to purchase games at all, the card will generate the games too.
Don' t worry about it. Yes, there may be a point where you do not get the best bang for your buck, but so what? You won't get worse from what you have now. Get the cpu that supports the connectivity and non game tasks you need, and its all gravy.
Does it add to gameplay in any way? Does it change the way the game is played in any way?
When the answer to those questions is "yes" then raytracing will be a must-have. If it just makes things prettier... meh.
Raytracing is the future. But for now its just a novelty. It takes years for the new features to really take hold. By then you will have bought a different card.
They need to use ray tracing (and other new technologies) to enhance gameplay instead of just enhancing visuals.
If you gain an advantage, say, like if you could better tell that an enemy was around a corner because of a realistic shadow or reflection from a puddle, then it would be worth it.
Eh, I've heard it all. The computer case called the "CPU", the old 3 1/2" floppy called hard disks, hard disk called memory, CDs called records, etc. Some are inadvertently correct, but didn't follow the mainstream definition.
Technology moves faster than most people do. Including me...
What if you had windmills several miles off the shore of southern California, spraying seawater in a fine mist up in the air. Would that allow the water to evaporate without carrying the salt with it? Then that extra water would hopefully dump out over the southwest.
Just a silly idea I just...
This isn't new. Amd talked about this in one of thier reveals a while back. The cost/benefit wasn't enough for them to release models with the extra cache.
I guess no one here has a house near a wind turbine.
They are very loud. and of your house is in the shadow of one, the strobe effect of the sunlight is actually harmful to health.
Now a lot of places have increased the setback distances where wind turbines can be located, but 20 years ago...
Being "cost effective" isn't the show stopper that it used to be. Companies are willing to pay extra for green energy because that is what they think thier customers want.
All we can do is make wild guesses. Given the forum, my guess is:
Does the cooler size matter when microwaving a graphics card? If i wanted to microwave a triple slot card, should I increase the time?
