they updated the sabertooth as well - beta bios on the 26th. that wasnt on their original list of supported patches when it first came out.
maybe, maybe there is hope. this thing came with a 5 year warranty. if they dont patch it im RMA'ing it or selling it and moving on
windows 10 is garbage
im running it on 4 boxes now unfortunately. there is so much bloat and bullshit tracking, forced updates, breaking/resetting drivers after an update etc etc etc etc
No it didnt warp after crashing; I just kept getting blue screens or random reboots, its a secondary computer so i dont use it all the time... but i would go to turn it on and i could tell it rebooted...not from windows update...
changed psu, didnt help, blah blah
after changing out psu once...
Theres more to it:
The sticker did that on its own as well about 2-3 months in, I believe I said that in the EVGA forum post. The brand 'new' card from EVGA they gave me in return (cross ship) the sticker was already broken out of the box.
Yeah, my thinking is the VRM's overheated possibly...
Having nothing but trouble with EVGA within the past year. This is just one example I am currently dealing with now. I am not sure it is because I am in Canada? I hear of people getting free video card upgrades and such if none are in stock etc..
I personally have had nothing but issues with my...
this is for all of the 'i wont buy used mining hardware etcblahblah' people
funny story i have 6 1070s for mining and one for gaming in a secondary PC, all EVGA of one form or another. The 5 were happily mining away and I thought i was having PSU issues with my HX1000 due to random kernel...
yeah also make sure the bios is set correctly, some bios' have the option for 'windows 8 boot mode' 'windows mode' 'compatibility windows mode' ETC
on a particular board i had, it made me choose fast boot + windows 8.1 mode or it wouldnt let me create the partition to install win 10
yeah its probably going to come crumbling down at some point
news flash: zero fucks given edit: I have lost nothing..
and btw that was 1200$ CAD so roughly 900 USD @ time of purchase, brand new in box.
I really hate the whining.. 'I cant afford a GPU because of the miners'.... 'theres no GPU's'.
Yeah, Im a miner, and yeah I paid 1250$ for a 1080 Ti. Did I like it? No. Do I have a choice if I want a certain GPU, no.
Guess what, supply and demand kids. Economics 101. Shortages can happen for...
been mining for 2 years, bought my first 1080ti today; zotac amp extreme...
havent even pushed her.
you know why i spent the FULL RETAIL PRICE ?
NO USED 1060 or 1070 ANYWHERE!
worth it or not?!
thats all great and stuff but
not all cards can be modded.
i have tried and failed with different generations.. this is not a guaranteed result if you pick up a Vega card..
also, it still requires 2x 8 pcie connectors..
yea from canada here, radio is actually pretty decent up here in the north... good for traffic, good for morning shows.. although they do replay things over and over, it was really bad a few years ago.. they have toned that down on most stations now.
ooo yea they realized the 64's werent selling and reduced the price.
Ill be picking up a couple of 56s!
Thnx highvoltage :D
gonna peruse the site now :D
this is what its showing me:
Sapphire AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8G HBM2 HDMI/3XDP Premium Graphic Card w/ Liquid Cooling...
At this point, with the money anyone is going to invest within an SLI /CF setup ESPECIALLY at the top end, the GFX MFR's should support dual card solutions more. I know 'its in the hands of the developer' and all that bullshit... Why are you going to lay down $1300 USD+ for something these...
There was a post on this forum a few months back that no one paid a lot of attention to. Apparently you can create a proxy with your router or some such and it will download at full speed... I cant cite the exact post as I am very lazy and drinking lots of beers but it made sense.. Also I think...
LEGITREVIEWS posted this first...
I can confirm that all this driver does is FIX the ongoing DAG issue for AMD cards at the current time. It brought my 480's up to what they were PRE DAG 130 (24-28MH/s unmodded).
They were previously doing 20-24.
No extreme performance enhancement.
hey gents heads up - 'crypto driver' from AMD released about 2 hrs ago
first reports not so good, DDU'ing now on 5x480 rig..
no change for vega 64 except for future DAG sizes.....
something doesnt add up with VEGA and ETH...
that really is the secret.... not just to MINE but to TRADE as well. and mine other coins whilst doing so...
im lazy. i just mine one coin... its fun as fuck :X
edit: I think LBRY is going to be a sleeper. I started to mine it but I was getting shit dual mining speeds with Claymore...
