Hmmm which should I put more weight in, your experience driving by a charging location three times, or my experience actually going on road trips in an EV?
It's a real head scratcher!
How'd you know they have to regular wait an hour+? You sit there and watch them?
You're full of shit dude. If you want people to take your BS serious provide some actual data not anecdotes.
What's your source for this information? All the Superchargers I've driven by on 80 and 70 are usually empty or have one or two cars at them and the only time I see Tesla owners bitching online it's usually about somewhere in Socal.
Regardless, it doesn't apply to Electrify America's chargers...
"This car really has soul, feel those handling dynamics" I say as I get passed at VIR by a 4 cylinder Mustang.
"Listen to the beautiful melody of that V12" I say, as I get beat at the drag strip by a plug in hybrid RAV4.
You know some people like to have actual performance in their performance...
I mean, you're the car guy that looks around and gets mad at nearly every car manufactured after 2008 or whatever, but okay, I guess I'm the irate one.
Maybe you'd be happier Mchart if your daily wasn't so mundane? I used to be the same way, my "good cars" stored away in the garage most of the time, and it sucks. Find something you can daily that speaks to you and is fun to drive. Being a car guy and spending 80%+ of your car time in a boring...
Totally false. I didn't know about the bloated curb weight though.
Here's another fact that will certainly violate your silly notions about me: I own 5 cars and 3 of them are manuals.
Your old man yells at cloud schtick is a lot of fun but you'd probably be happier and a more pleasant person...
I was going to comment on how big a factor mass can be in car accidents just due to basic physics and EVs, of course, being quite heavy. But then I looked up how much an 850csi weighs and jesus christ, what a pig. We all know modern safety standards plus just cars becoming bigger and bigger have...
I tried to test drive one. Literally didn't fit in it. One of the down sides of being 6'5". The front doors on the Taycan are tiny, makes it hard to get in and out. They should have used another 6" of that enormous and essentially useless hood to give it a little more passenger space imo.
To be fair if I had a 27 year old BMW I probably wouldn't want to drive it a lot either. Not very safe compared to a modern car. After I careen into you at 70 mph due to my cars poor driving dynamics I'm probably gonna walk away without a scratch while they're scraping you out of the BMW with a...
It's a daily driver, compromises are made. Just because people have different priorities than you doesn't mean you're right and they're wrong.
You've got two performance cars that you don't drive and a daily driver that is boring.
The other thing re: EV CUVs is you take a 5 door and add a ~5" thick battery into the floor of it and bam, you got yourself a CUV whether you want it or not. There are obviously other ways to package things given the existence of the 3 and the S but the batteries have to go somewhere and you're...
What is it about the 5.3" height difference between something like a Golf and a Mach-e GT that you find so offensive? Do you really not understand the idea of "What if hatchback but higher and more upright seating position and bigger doors?" or "What if SUV but more efficient and better handling?"
If you want to use some real numbers instead of whatever you're doing here, gas is $3.84 here right now, electricity is 9.9 cents/kWh, I drive 18,000 miles a year, and you need to pick an ICE CUV that can do 0-60 in ~3.6 seconds.
Don't forget that Roberts told everyone that 1 dollar to him was like 4 or 5 dollars to a regular studio because they don't have the publisher overhead, so that 400 million should really produce a game that is equivalent to a 2 billion dollar game.
Until either the game is released, or EODetroit pays me the $3,000 he owes me over betting that SQ42 was going to come out literally 4 years ago, I'm going to keep necroing it every 6-12 months.
The fact that SQ42 was supposed to be out 4 years ago and still isn't is news. Get over it.
I got an email From Chris Robberts yesterday about SQ42, it has a lot of words in it that I haven't read, has anyone read it and can you let me know if any of those words are a release date?
This doesn't even make sense. Do you even drive?
The deer I hit if I'd been going 10 mph less I could have stopped in time, if I'd been going 20 mph more he maybe would have come through the windshield and kissed me. Speed had everything to do with it.
How about lobbying to pay zero income tax while making billions and consuming vast amounts of government infrastructure and handouts.
But keep on crying about those darn lefty kids in every post, old man.
