    [Review] Triple Radiators V2

Sorry for the delayed response... I'm not following your math there, but the numbers taken for calculation and charting purposes are direct from the eXtreme Outervision calculator. And furthermore, do not represent actual heat dump from the components themselves. They were used just to...

    Pump Question

Unless you're going to be pumping a heavy glycol mix, the "standard" Laing pumps are more than adequate. D5 (MCP655) is still a great pump, but the DDC3.25's (PMP-400) have the edge when it comes to dynamic pressure.

    Swiftech MCP655 question.

Are you thinking Core temps are close to fluid temps? That is not the case... When I run radiator tests I am applying 600w at 600RPM fan speeds and don't typically reach 60C fluid temps. As an example:

    Laing DDC 3.25 Tops

If you're going to move to 2 loops later on, then no need to worry about it now. You'll have to plan out that second loop when the time comes. As for running two pumps in serial, well you have some options. One is to go with the dual tops, which is probably the easiest (and no, you can't just...

    Laing DDC 3.25 Tops

I would suggest just one pump to start with, DDC's (DDC3.25 in your question) should be more than enough for your loop. The EK X-Top V2 and XSPC tops are very close in performance, with the Res top edging out the EK and XSPC regular top by only a small margin. The XSPC Res Top is a bit more...

    [Review] Triple Radiators V2

For the most part, double thick radiators need more air flow and static pressure from the fans in order for performance to be unleashed. Look at the TFC 360, lower fan speeds just don't perform as well but once you get over 1400RPM the performance comes alive. Now I say for the most part because...

Still overwhelmed & confused with understanding & building my 1st WC setup. Plz Help.

Best advice I can give... slow down. Building your first WC rig can take months, mostly just reading and learning WTF are these acronyms and names. If you're trying to part together your build in a week or two, you're in for a bumpy ride... just take your time and move slowly and soak it all in...

    XPSC Rs vs Rx

The RS series is similar to the Swiftech MCR and Magicool radiators, where the RX is optimized for for low to medium speed fans. I haven't compared the RS against the RX on the bench, but I personally would lean towards the RX rather than the RS.

My pleasure and thanks for the compliment. I'm working on Version 3 and hope to be done in the next week(ish). BTW, excellent choice on the rad as long as your ears can take it. :D

I've heard good things about the Enermax fans, but I don't have any first hand experience.

Get away with not mounting pump?

Here is how I ended up mounting mine... I did use a (UN)Designs 3G bracket for each and a little bit o padding between the bracket and the acrylic.

Quick disconnects for 7/16 ID 5/8 OD

You could always get the threaded QDC's, then use G1/4 Female to G1/4 Female adapters and run whatever fittings you like. Not a perfect solution, but a working solution none the less.

    amatech aragon 900

I can't tell on the radiator or res, but the CPU block is a DTek Fuzion V2 OEM and the pump is a Laing DDC of some sort...could be a knockoff, I can't tell. In short, I agree with King Icewind... you'll be happier piecing together your own system.

    Phase Change/Water Cooling 4.5 Ghz+

You are still claiming there is a noticeable difference in performance on the CU vs LT... its just not there. Vapor has already tested it, just hasn't updated his comparison yet. Are there any other tests of the CU vs. LT, especially ones showing anything more than .2-.4C in dT?

What are the best high static fans?

I've been running the TK Low's on one of my benches (just got another set too), pretty happy with them overall... and I'm certainly not a flag waving TFC supporter. I can't speak for static pressure or cfm as I don't have the needed meters, but they are quiet to my ear and seem to move quite a...

Why don't more people build external WC units?

Thats pretty much how I have one of my benches setup... radiator, res, pump and drain valve away from the board. It doesn't look uber fantastic, but functionality is great. With the gradual move to 140mm and oversized radiators in general, I think we'll be seeing a lot more external units or...

    [Review] Triple Radiators V2

@RadioDude - TFC is included in the roundup. @x509 - Personally, I split loops. I would much rather have more radiator than I need versus dealing with higher temps, but thats me. You can certainly run multi-block loops and be perfectly fine, just know the more heat you have in your loop your...

Venturing into the Realm of WC? Help Please.

I'll never claim to be perfect or that my tests and reviews should carry more weight than anyone else's. I'm learning things as I work through the test procedures and methods I have and I guarantee those will change over time as I contine to test. The problem I seem to have is that their are...

Erasmus: You hit the nail on the head, except there are more nails with parallel/dual loops. I certainly did not leave out data, I didn't run the tests. System Flow Rate Tests I was having a hard time figuring out the best way to properly display the System Flow (through the pump) improvements the Typhoon III unleashes when you are using dual loop configuration in a format similar to the way it has always been done. The reality is that the T3...

I have used both the EK and the Swiftech MicroRes, both are great. The big difference between them is the price with the Swiftech being roughly half of the EK. I'm not a fan of the plastic barbs/fittings that come with the Swiftech, so pick up an extra set of metal fittings if you choose the...
