ive been having this same problem with Z87e-itx for 2 days now.
i moved my kids computers hardware to new DAN A4 case, didnt shut the case and started it to check everything works. Everything did work - kids played with it for few mins and then turned off the comp so i could close the case...
ive understood that ryzen is soldered and shouldnt have any need for deliding...im really hoping this is true and keeping my eyes on 1700. would be just too great to have cooler cpu with more oomph.
i guess it would be too difficult to kickstart both alu and copper versions at once? personally id love to see the copper version first - that would then be the premium cooler in this size and simply "be as good as it is possible". the lite alu version could follow later if there is enough...
full copper. people who buy cases like yours and wanna stick hot oc'd CPU inside wont care about the price. seriously, just forget about the price range. its just silly to aim for something like mainstream pricing range, when the customer base is anything but that...
I suppose the 600w is starting to be bit overshooting these days, especially as i have no plans to overclock.
but whats the deal with SFX-L's? Like SX500-LG compared to the SF450? ...or did that SFX-L get in the way of 3rd SSD? - so only two SSD's with SFX-L? Then again if i get 2x 1tb SSD's...
ive been kinda considering 7 1700 if it performs well. no idea of the stock cooler performance ofcourse, but the fan looks kinda thick on the pic? might fit with slimmer fan...but im kinda pessimist when it comes to stock coolers.
personally considering the audience, it hardly matters if this would cost double or triple compared to competition as long as its the ultimate-no-corners-cut-small-profile-full-copper-cooler™ and performs noticeable better than the rest. if you start cutting corners, your basically doing...
is there any page, where people have collected some general info on what works with the case and what not?
i got two of these nice cases for myself, but frankly havent had the time to concentrate and really find out what im still lacking in order to move my kids computers stuff to the DAN case...
i suppose Gainward GeForce® GTX 980 Ti PHOENIX Golden sample should fit the case with few mm to spare? i was kinda going to skip the 980 ti... but have noticed few decent deals so am now following if the prices drop still bit more.
Products :: Gainward GeForce® GTX 980 Ti PHOENIX
Dan, would it be possible to have official google docs file or such, where we could collect all the gpu's and what not that fits or doesnt fit the case?
Im also wondering about the cable management. Ive got 2x SS SZ600-G's and no idea how well the vanilla cables will fit. Same with recommended...
at this point hype is either bit late or early. I mean i hear of A4 just now and really-really wanna get one, its going to take awhile. So If i was hypemaster, id have tried to make it during the kickstarter or much later when there will hopefully be the 2nd run.
...but as there is zero idea of...
the old usb will still stick around for years though.. anyways, i doubt many are going to throw away they perfectly functioning mouses, keyboards, webcams, memorysticks etc just because new type usb happens to come by.
very adult comment.
TY very much, i (and no doubt many others) use frontal usb all the time with my ncase - no way i would want to reach behind the case nor i want usb hub + more cables on the the desk.
And yes, i already have couple usb ports on keyboard.
Id have two usb ports on front...
Atleast to me the price increase would be absolutely irrelevant, and i am not rich or anything. PSU's are supposed to last many years to begin with.
Ive got two or your sfx 600W's, which cost me small fortune (260 to be precise) - and i am not happy with the whining they do. Had i been able...
Ive got some plans of setting computer in shelf, where there is little chance of putting any USB behind the case without actually taking the whole case off from the shelf.
Anyhow, even on desk i dont like raising my lazy butt to reach behind my case and just rather use the front usbs. Sure i...
LP53 stock fan is 25mm thick/high or however you say it. arent there any (good) 20mm ones around? I am not really pro about them. Just the usual noctua-drone :|
i finally got noctua fan to replace the stock on LP53 (in M1), just havent had the time to replace and see if it makes any difference in temps or sound.
Anyhow, its shame there hasnt been single mega test where all the LP itx coolers were tested at the same time.
i am kinda worried that nvidia wont make atleast 900-series compatible with freesync, unless there is some proper pressure to do so. Atm this is not the case and i believe 900-series doesnt support freesync atleast officially.
i would guess it takes more space, is more difficult to manufacture, has risks of user breaking psu/their computer/themselves, has (probably) fringe customer base aaand in general would be more expensive.
But thats just me guessing, its not like understand anything about PSU except where to...
well, ive got two of these and both are loud to my ear when under load. Desktop is just fine...but its not really the point with 600w ones.
Also both made noise when turned off. Tweaking powersave settings enough made that bit quieter though. Still i rma'ed one of them, but unfortunately it...
Thank you. i am considering getting one as well
Is there any picture precise measurement how close fit SFX-L + v2 and new bracket are going to be gpu-wise?
I have reference gtx 980 and it has backplate, so i am kinda wondering how comfortable fit it will really be.
Anyhow, i just cant...
Has SFX-L been tested in the prototype yet? Does SFX-L fit in with same sized gpu (say gtx 980 refe)?
There was also some talk about "maybe second 2,5" disk" - have you had time to check this as well?
Sorry if this was already discussed to death, i couldnt find quite 100% answer one way or...
Thanks,
Personally i am always "function over aesthetics" (=both plugins), just one feels kinda lukewarm compromise :)
...ofcourse thats just me, no idea whats the general and ofcourse your personal opinion on the matter. :)
looking good..but where is mic plug-in? :/
with headset its really pain in the ass to put the cables behind the comp. yes i am lazy. not a "no-sale" point for me, but still. i use headset only occasionally and because of that i like it when i can just plug them easily without reaching behind.
Does anyone know if there is somewhere sata power cable that is shorter than the one that comes boxed with SST-SX600-G?
Because of the way ive set my ssd's (3) in my Ncase, i am forced to use Y-cable spliter - which leave me with a whole lot of excess sata power cable. Unfortunately just going...
I have GTX980 reference (asus) and it fits just fine. temps go from +30C to 80-82C or so under 100%. Its pulling air with just by itself. I dont have any fans at the bottom.
huzzah, gpu should be arriving today and after that its all about seeing if all the cables fit in the case or nor...
Well, i might have to RMA psu (coil whine) and change cpu fan (Cooltek was cool to send replacement though).
Weirdly enough it seem like i might be actually finishing my ncase...
ive got cooltek LP53 on E1230/V3 & E1231V3 and cant complain. Its pure copper and is smaller than the noctua/silverstone low prof coolers. Think about about reference cooler on steroids and quiet :)
There are few reviews around, i recommend you google. It would seem many do not know about this one.
It would seem ill be getting GTX 980 reference, which is way more powerful than what i need, but thats besides the point :)
Can anyone comment if it makes sense to put 2x 120mm fans at the bottom of the case or would one be enough?
Atm it looks like ill be having only one 120mm on the side...
Well, would have been too easy if there was just big button "ERP" and on/off :)
Thanks, ill try to look into it later in the evening.
