Yeah, you should get back into it. You don't need to spend big bucks either, I've seen some amazing stuff painted in Gimp. You really need a good drawing tablet though, like a Wacom, but doesn't need to be the most expensive,
If you are doing a portrait of somebody, you definitely need a...

What version of Indesign are you using? I have Indesign CS6. My background is 9 years pre-press (preparing jobs for printing) and 6 years as an artworker for a design company, setting up jobs in Indesign amongst other things. If you were to package your job, ftp it somewhere so I can downloaded...

Hi, I actually paint these around A1 size 20" x 33" and 300dpi (approx 10k x 6k pixels) depending on the pic, so they should print fine up to A0 on paper or canvas.

Hi, thanks. There's no secret. As I am getting back into my artwork after pretty much 20 years, I'm a little rusty. Sorry for all the text here, but hopefully I answer your questions.
So, I've gone back to how I started out, I use photographs as reference. This really put me offside with my...

On my YouTube channel I show a snippet of me working on a Cintiq 24HD in the Jennifer Aniston video, but most of these I'm using a Intuos3 and a basic brush that does not take into account any stylus angle, just preasure... I basically draw on it like I would using a traditional pen or pencil.
My 2nd Britney Spears painting in Photoshop I did over the weekend, hope you like :)
Photoshop CS6 and Wacom Intuos3 tablet. Approx 12 hours to complete.

Hi, thanks. I thought the colors could be a bit warmer than the original pic, I'm into super-realism so I try and get the pic to look as real as possible... it's just my style at the mo. I do artwork in other media and plan to try my hand at Oil painting but this is a 'Digital Artwerk' category ;)

Yeah, Ironwoman was my first real illustration in 20 years... more of a 'can I still get back on the bike and ride' test... just getting back into it ;)
Hi, just got back into my art in the last few weeks. My Digital Painting with Time-Lapse clips on my YouTube Channel here
Used Wacom Cintiq 24HD and Photoshop CS6.
Hope you enjoy :)
Now, here's another interesting thing. If you max the photo viewer, the control panel is missing, but if you then click on it's taskbar icon (minimising it) then again to maximise it (or right click and select maximise), the control panel is visible.
Yeah, although I don't think I've ever encountered a single problem with overclocking, albiet, this is only the second PC I've overclocked.... my 4 year old Opteron PC is still going strong for one of my sons ;)
Anyway, I've overclocked this PC since day one (about 7 months) with no prob, and...
Update... I've been OC since I built the pc in July with no probs... may try it but if I had a choice of OC or Photo Viewer control panel, it's a no brainer ;) . One monitor does not fix issue
O.k., some additional info. I've Overclocked to 4.4Ghz but have done so for the last 6 months. The Mobo I'm using is P8Z68 DELUXE and the PSU is the Silverstone Strider 1500W

I guess discrete mode is the only option anyway on the Deluxe as there are no video ports on the Mobo also I have read that Integrated mode disables crossfire/sli.
O.K., 'cause like Deltief, I'm thinking upgrading to Z68, namely, my Asus p8p67 Deluxe to the Asus P8Z68 Deluxe and I already have a GTX580. I do video dev in Premiere Pro, but rather hold off Lucid Virtu stuff and stick with CUDA for the time being..... I also play a lot of games ;)
The reason...
Hey, that's sweet guys. I was unaware of Win7 Anytime Upgrade being a lot easier than upgrades in the past. And as my Mobo can support 32GB Max, when I get around to it might just put another 2 sticks of 4GB in and see what happens ;)
I have the same problem athough I do not have an SSD installed and I'm using a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCI-E, not the HD version.
I have used the Sound Blaster X-Fi on my old Opteron/XP system for four years with no problems changing modes. On my new P67 system I've just build...
