That is becuase the connector wiggles easily. So you can't really do much about it. if there is any movement, cable, pc it can wiggle out creating gap. Its a bad marriage.

way too much wiggle on the adapter. I think the pci sig plug is just done with a lazy job. They should have had a wider base for the clip so there is a bigger and more robust hold. The plug is way too much power and big with a small as clip.
