I like having the ability to use a sound card or a WiFi card. But ok, let's try mITX.
What cases match these: D < 30cm, W < 18cm, H < 40cm, ATX PSU, < $60 ?
Or even better: D < 25cm, W < 17cm, H < 35cm, ATX PSU, < $60 ?
What part of HDMI is patented anyway? It's not that different from DVI which doesn't require royalties AFAIK.
What problem would that solve?
I'd like to see DP inputs and outputs on more monitors and video cards / motherboards.
Does H81 support 2x DVI-D out?
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H81MPLUS/#specifications
This one has DVI-D and HDMI, but I've no idea whether both can be used at the same time (Asus website still sucks) and whether it comes with a HDMI -> DVI adapter.
Since W95 it has been possible to set a keyboard shortcut to launch programs. Where did this functionality go in W8?
W7 also allowed you to open Documents or Downloads with two clicks. How does one do this with W8?
I've enabled GPU scaling, but the display mode still seems to change, which I'd like to avoid as it takes (too much) time. Why does the mode of the display change? Shouldn't it always remain the native mode when GPU scaling is enabled?
GPU: GTX 670
Display: HP ZR2740w
You forgot to answer my question: "Actually, what nV card has 4x DVI/HDMI? Most have just 2x DVI + 1x HDMI. How would you power the 4th non-DP screen without adapter?"
Can't power 4x 2560 x 1440 or 4x 1920 x 1080 120Hz, can they?

I'm sorry, that's not really an answer. The 2 extra grounds are merely a signalling function. Besides, even with 6+8 the 7950 should have plenty of margin. Don't most 7950 use just 6+6?
I guess you missed the follow-ups: http://techreport.com/review/24022/does-the-radeon-hd-7950-stumble-in-windows-8
http://techreport.com/review/24218/a-driver-update-to-reduce-radeon-frame-times
Very funny, but not a proper argument.
That's exactly the design I was looking for!
Cooling seems to be a sub par though. Just one 120mm intake and 92mm side mounts. Let's hope that gets fixed.
Radeons also lower clocks on idle.
One issue with current AMD drivers: http://techreport.com/review/23981/radeon-hd-7950-vs-geforce-gtx-660-ti-revisited
I'm not set on nV. I had a 7950 for a short time but it died (and had coil whine). Max frametimes no Radeons are a bit bad, but AMD is working on that.
What's the performance delta for these two cards? In BF3 MP benchmarks the 670 seems to be only 13% faster, while cost is about 36% more.
Is it really just 13% or did I just not look at the right benchmarks?
I know it doesn't really matter, but I'd like to avoid adapters and I'd just like to know why Sapphire went for 2x 8.
Sapphire has so many models and choices like these just don't seem to make sense. Maybe Sapphire just doesn't make sense. :p
Interesting. Though it's twice as expensive as I'd like. PSU at bottom would be better too.
Got a link or some names?
My requirements aren't that weird, are they? It's just a basic small footprint internet/office PC.
I got the HP for the lower input lag and the issues Dell has with buzzing, image retention (and maybe cross hatching). I don't see the benefit of a OSD.
