Soneone posted a video showing how you can bypass Battle.net and launch D4 directly to the server. Might want to give it a try in case of backlog on Battle.net
Cause most user will not notice it and there's not enough returns for the manufacturer to make the necessary changes. I used mine for 2 years without it bothering me. It's there if you really get close to the screen but not really a problem for most for daily use. Not saying that it's not...
The problem is that the "flaw" is not affecting most user (not that it's not a valid concern). Another problem is that the flaw in panel may not be process related but inherit in the equipment being used so unless and until they replace the manufacturing equipment, it will be in all future...
Shooting a moving video at a TV screen up close will sometimes fail to focus. Here's a couple pictures which probably do a better job.
Still have some artifacts but at my general seating distance of about 30" It looks clear enough to work with. Also, I still playing with the setting on the TV...
Are you working with colored text, I'm now running my 43" QN90B at 100% font and I work with excel all the time and I don't see any difference between text from the top of the screen to the bottom as seen in this video
Swap for the QN90B and the only diff is you only get 120hz but the colors and text clarity is so much better and you can get a open box or slightly damaged outer box one from Amazon with full warranty for $850.
Damn. This thing is good! now my biggest problem is finding an excuse to replace the Q90T in the living room. :p. Most of you that came from the Aorus FV43U thread may remember this demo. It's the best video that would let you see the amount of black crush on your monitor/TV. Good as the FV43U...
Yea, I tried my 50" QN90A but since it sits further away, I'll have to get new computer glasses so I just grab this and put the 50" back into the spare bedroom.
Look what the cat dragged in 😀
Wait! I don't have a cat 😂. Need to get a TV stand as the included one is blocking the center channel speaker, give me a couple days and I'll report back
Haven't you heard the saying "never buy for the future" as there will always be better tech down the road. Buying a 8K monitor now waiting for other tech to catch up just does not make sense. as for AI upscaling (while pretty impressive) would induce lag which is bad for gaming. I have no...
Well, I'm in the market now for another 40"-50" screen as my CG437K is acting up (lost the audio circuit but who knows what's next to go) but I still does not see a point of getting a 8K screen. A 43" 4K is the minimum size you need if you're using 100% font size (which I do as actually I needs...
I'm going to rearrange my home office desk so that I can sit the 50" another 12" back but that would means that I may have to get new computer glasses as it would be about 40" away and my current glasses are set for about 30"
Well. Might need to give this a 2nd look. The 50" QN90A is just a bit too big at the home office and I got the FV43U back from the office and hooked up the GC437K at the office again and it started acting up on me, all of a sudden, I lost audio and the speakers are going pop, pop, pop. I...
That's why I said that too bad the U.S does not have the infrastructure to handle the increased bandwidth requirements. Upscaling algorithm good as they are will never be as good as a native image, same with compression. The difference maybe small but it'll be there. At least at the current...
The Japanese NHK BS8K Satellite system uses transponders at 34.5MHz with a transmission rate of 100Mbps each using H.265 encoding. This blows away anything that is available in the U.S.
It's kinda sad nowadays when most people gets their so called HD contents from Streaming and think that 35mbs...
I shot the video just out of habit. Otherwise I would have at least pull out my Osmo Pocket 2 and shot it in 4K@60 HDR. Oh they have their top 4K models set next to this one with the same loop and there is a noticeable difference.
That's why I said earlier that it's the lack of content that's holding 8K back. I was also in Japan when they're doing live broadcast test in prep for the Tokyo Olympic and It blows anything I've seen on 4K as seen in the clip:
I can tell you that 8K makes a noticeable difference given the right contents. Every time I'm in Japan. I would just go to one of those giant electronics store and sit there and watch their 8K demo until it loops. This is the current Sharp Aquos DX1 demo shot on my iPhone from last month. I know...
Lack of media content is probably one reason (it has to be popular in the TV market before enough panels are available to make it practical for the monitor market). and don't be too sure that a 4090 can handle 8K, mine just barely produce workable fps in Hogwarts legacy in 4K once you turn on...
Just a quick update, the product shipped last Friday (so 5 working days after order) and is now enroute. Now we'll see how long it'll take to get here.
it turns out that even using single focal glasses still have some blurriness or color separation (like a 3D image without 3D glasses) when you eyes look towards the outer edge of the glasses (at least in my case) so I went and ordered a set of prescription plug-ins from VR-ROCK. Seems they make...
VR2 is not true 4K and the HDR spec is not really that bright (but still better than most 2nd gen headset on the market) so non-VR games still look better on my TV. It also look quite stunning in cinematic mode for streaming media if you don't have a large high end 4K TV as it give a larger...
Managed to find a pair of single focus with the previous prescription and it's actually working better than the progressive. Just have to live with it for a week.
One thing I forgot to mention is that as an older gamer having to wear glasses. I started wearing progressive for my daily use a few years ago . Problem with progressive is that the image is only clear and sharp at the top portion when wearing a headset. On headset that does not use eye...
Lets talk about which game do you like the most, which one did you buy or plans to buy and why.
I have Horizon, GT7 and Kayak so far and I'm spending most of my time on GT7. I'm an older gamer so I probably won't be buying any of the fast paced shooter games. May get the Star Wars one just...
I don't know if the interior details of each car were already scanned and rendered but was just not accessible before or they went back and re-scanned everything for the VR patch but the fact that you can do a full walkaround of the car and sit inside and look at all the interior detail is...
It's the same setup and from one of the take apart video, the end inside the headset has a small breakout cable in addition to a USB-C plug so probably not user replaceable.
After a few more hours. If you like GT7 and have the budget for the VR2. There's absolutely no reason not to get one. The immersion factor in game is just insane. As beautiful as the scenery are on a good 4K TV, it's stunning in VR, so much so that I actually find myself slowing down just to...
Since the existing PSVR thread is mostly regarding the 1st gen unit except for the 5th page. I think we should do all the VR2 discussion on a new thread. Here's my quick take after a few hours.
Between the ~4K HDR res, the 120hz refresh, a very good OLED panel, light weight with great balance...
Day and night difference. Between the ~4K HDR res, the 120hz refresh, a very good OLED panel, light weight with great balance and the ability to wear your own glasses (for most) makes every other headset pales by comparison (except that it does not work on PC :grumpy:) . Although I'm not...
I could care less about the 1800 nit. The only thing I care about is if they managed to solve the fundamental problem of OLED brightness drop once it goes past 25%. Samsung QD OLED finally managed to keep brightness above 500nits at 50% with the QD layer but still suffer a large drop towards...
Disappointed at the HDR performance but the Mini-LED backlight will produce a better picture than the FV43U and the CG437K with the advantage of having a DP port over the QN series. But otherwise the QN90B will probably work as well for less, especially once the price start dropping after the...
