This may be a dumb question, but how are you mounting your HD up on the inside (can see it on the C1 pic). My primary is an m.2, but I want to add an SSD and not sure how to mount it. If it came with mounting screws, I may have lost them in the time since initial build.
Has anyone had issues with faulty power switch wiring? I'm having issues where if I touch the wires from the power button, the system will shut off. At times, just the incidental desk jolts while gaming will shut it down. Right now I have a switch and wire from another system plugged in (side...
Had my reservation in before noon on Thursday. I commute 120 miles/day round trip and have 8 superchargers in my home town. I'll get into town, plug in, take my evening run, and be charged by the time I'm done. I'd guesstimate that at least 95% of my driving will fit in that 215 mile base range...
I pulled an ATX PSU out of a spare system, and it looks like I'm performing surgery on my Ncase with cables everywhere and the PSU sitting on my desk next to the panel-less case. I'm going to run it that way until the SF600 is avail. My Noctua NH-C12P SE14 seems pretty quiet so I'm super happy...
Anyone have one of these paired up with a Samsung 950 Pro? I did my initial build last night, system powers up fine, UEFI totally accessible, updated BIOS, but when I plugged in the 950 Pro, all I got was a red light indicator on my Ncase, no fan spins, nada. Remove it, all works fine again...
Yeah, I could see Mar 7th being the outside earliest. Not holding my breath! Luckily I had a bad part for my new build so its been delayed, making the PSU wait a bit more tolerable.
Small update! I asked this on the Corsair Forums
"What is the typical lead time between being shipped to a Corsair hub and retail availability?"
Response from Jonny Guru:
"Depends on the hub and method of shipping. Worst case is three weeks on the water."
If we figure three weeks from the time...
I still haven't seen anything official stating delays for either product, so I made a post over at Corsair asking for some clarification. Here is the relevant thread. Unfortunately, without a timetable from Corsair hub to retail, we can't really make any assumptions based on JGuru's reply as to...
I'm waiting until the Corsair SF-600 is available before I work my build. I've always had pretty good experiences with them. Otherwise, I'd buy everything and build it this weekend, lol.
For anyone using a mobo with the M.2 slot on the back, have you run into any thermal throttling on your SSD? The reason I ask here is that I just received my M1 v5 and will be using this case for the build.
I'm just about ready to put design my build, and I keep seeing concerns about thermal...
The ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac also has M.2 and USB-C (Asmedia controller), and the bonus of Intel NIC. Gigabyte has a KillerNIC (if that matters), but Alpine Ridge USB controller.
I am not sure there is a clear-cut definitive winner. I've been leaning towards the ASRock as my...
I'm super excited! Post office tried to deliver on Tuesday and its killing me to have to wait to pick it up. Should have it tomorrow! Now I can work on the rest of the build :D
Just because we "aren't that yet" doesn't mean we can't start the groundwork an laying the foundation now. Its got to start somewhere, and some time... why not now?
I think chanting "USA" undercuts the accomplishment that was actually performed by the SpaceX team. If you're going to chant "USA" because it was a partial funding stream, then you need to chant for "all" participants in the entire funding stream.
I'm not sure how pride factors into this. Pride =/= patriotism.
pride

After setting up USB install media for Windows, I can't recall the last time I used an optical drive. I'd rather just have a portable/usb slim drive for the few times I might need to use it.
I'd be surprised, if your goal is gaming, if you noticed much difference going to a RAID0 SSD. If you're coming from having your games on a spinner, even a standard SSD will be significantly better on level loading for the games that rely heavily on reads like that. For my usage, the benefit of...
Honestly, it really isn't an issue, optimization that is. They're changing the way they do things with their OS model. Its almost like a continuous improvement plan, not just bug fixes and patching security issues (though those will never go away). If you wait for it to be perfect, it never will...
Personally, I've been using Win10 through the Insider Program and I don't see anything in Win7/8/8.1 worth holding out for. Win10 does everything that *I* need it to do, will be supported longer, and introduce new features (DirectX 12 support, and likely others as time goes on) that made me...
Um, no, just no. When I come here to read a video card review, I'm looking to see how that card performs on games I want to play. I don't want to play a benchmark. If a game has optimizations that favor one vendor over another, I want to know that. I'm looking for a gaming experience, not a...
