Is this true ? can anyone verify this ...
that size would be ideal for me because i can use it as monitor ,right now i am using a 49 inch sony xbr9 and i think sucks as a monitor, because the dark levels & angles aren't so great. I heard OLED fixes alot of ot hose issues especially on the 2019...
Has anyone used the E8 ? is it as good as the C8 , .. etc
its like 500-600 less than the c8 but i dont see any difference in the specs except it doesn't have bezels silver
According to Amazon, the cheapest 55 LG is the E8 , @ 2,2K . .. supposedly the only difference is the sound versus the higher end ones , and it has the same panel. ..
Now that OLEDs are dropping below 2k ,
Does anyone here use an OLED Panel as a PC Monitor and , how does it differ in terms of Crispness of reading Text and webpages , do you notice any Eye strain ,
Do you find any difference in usage in terms of image quality on the OLED vs the traditional...
sitting 3 FT away from a 49 inch
is the same as sitting
about 2 feet from a 40 Inch which most people consider an ideal scenario.
so if you get a 49 all you have to do is move it back about 1.25 FT and/or put it on a vesa mount off load it away from your desk
compromise, get a 49 but just sit a few feet back when you use a computer ?
i have a unique tv vesa mount stand that allows me to move tv back and forth between and up and down against the wall depending on whether i need it against my computer desk or not.
sony 900e !~
i had the older sonys and just upgraded bc i got a deal last month and i am really liking it
bc the software , the stability , the way it flows and sync well with my pc
i dont have that issue where i walk away from pc , the monitor disconnects like i used to with my older sonys...
i m not going to say 900e is a better monitor than 830c, but i will say that , functionaly its been a more "solid" to work with in terms of pc monitor. whereas i had so more issues with the 800e/830c after long useages, the 900e has been prettty solid in terms of performance and updated software...
I have been using both of these as a pc monitor for 2 weeks each..the differences that i see are that
The 900e is slightly more colorful, and things are are a bit crisper.
even though its a VA panel , i did not notice a worsening of the view panel, bc the back light technology seems to have...
i fixed my Tv issue , but wasn't cheap, and but the time i fixed it, decided to with a 900e.
- needs the monster 27 mphs wire
- needs a 1080 card
- sony software update
but the 900E plays much better and was on sale last week
In my option i think so just look at the differences:
a) it has full array direct LED lit , whereas most are including the 720e/800D are side or edge lit panels.
b) its a VA panel so the constrast will be about 3000:1 x vs 1000:1 IPS as on the 720e
c) it is PWM Free
d) Brightness is 3X...
how does the PWM on this monitor?
thats what turns me off about samsung, they cheaped out on the backlighting otherwise
i am assuming the next generation version of this monitor is the mu9000
heres a test i';ve done ;
i used something that has glass or mirrior and place in front of the display when its completely black ; if i see flickering off the mirrow i know the screen has pretty bad PWM.
Hey I have the same card as you ,and x800E and I ve had the same issues.. I've tried everything under the sun and then some, different cables, settings, ( even both control panel and tv settings ) even the expensive 100$ monster cable...nothing Worked.
The conclusion is that just this...
yes i read this morning and was pretty impressed however since i mainly use the 4k screens , they have a 34inch one which looks impressive.
i am using the 40 inch sony which is going to be hard to x720 hard to downgrade to in terms of size
no it has to be powered on, and not only that, for my computer if i leave it running and step away the display goes away after a while and i have to move the mouse.
most of this led technology happened within the last 5-10 years and no one really knows what the effect will be like for our eyes after say 20 years of staring at these screens all day
