I too am team green but I like to see competition. You can't deny AMD have gotten better with their drivers although considering how bad they once were that's an easy ask haha
Guess we will know more in a few weeks but yeah, I'd say for outright performance nVidia has won again
Hey mate, I'm chasing a Deck (I'm in Australia, we still don't have access to it) and wondering what you'd be looking for price wise for it? Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss :)
Just got mine delivered today despite Dell originally saying 4th of May.
Man, what a monitor, absolutely stunning! Yes, text can be a slight issue but I've already gotten used to it and it's a downside worth paying given just how good the PQ of this monitor is
Well, had the browser open when I left for work. Got a message from my wife around midday telling me "oh, you know that monitor you had open on your browser? Yeah, well I bought it for you"
So that was a pleasant surprise; definitely a keeper!
Asus AX88U flashed with Merlin custom firmware. Let's me run stuff like Diversion so I can block ads and other nifty features. Wouldn't be without it to be honest
Sure was, this was back in like 2010ish so I can't remember the details of performance. People shouldn't really have these cards because Intel wanted them destroyed but a few got out. I'm not sure there's any real functional drivers to test the performance of the card though but others might be...
Yeah it's a great bit of kit! I recently upgraded my case to an Enthoo Evolv, re-ran my watercooling setup while I was at it so yeah there's very little to do apart from mess with the innards and then we're back to the same problem as above. Been toying with getting a VR headset possibly but...
That's essentially all it would be for myself as well. That and it gives me something else to fiddle with for a while between benching and overclocking
I've got a M.2 slot on my motherboard and I'm using it (960 Pro) It's the more cores I'm interested in to be honest... not because I really need it but because I want it. I know at the end of the day I'm not going to see massive gains, I guess I just needed somebody else to tell me that too
Gaming mostly, then mining when I'm not using it. Every now and then a little bit of video editing too
My car hobby already takes enough of my money haha, PC gear is the cheaper of the two options
Thanks guys, you've re-affirmed what was in the back of my head and already knew. I'll just...
Right, since I'm having issues deciding what to do I thought I'd ask someone else other than my wife on what is best.
Currently running a 4790k @ 4.4, 1080GTX, 16GB RAM and have done so for the last few years. Honestly, It's been a great system and served me well but the upgrade itch has...
Pretty much only used Asus boards in any of my builds... most memorable though would have been the P6T... had lots of good gaming time due to that board. Never had a real issue with any one of them I owned either. Good stuff!
Been having an odd problem with the SMP client. I've reformatted but the problem still persists. If I run the client without the -smp flag, it's fine. However as soon as it's launched with -smp included I get the following message
Any ideas of what's going on?
Yeah the GPU client is fine, only the CPU :/ I've checked configs, they all seem fine, got no idea what's up.
Using Vista x64 with Symantec AntiVirus CE. Connecting through a router and am using NAT however it shouldn't be a problem as sometimes the units do send. It is very puzzling
Hey guys, just recently since I've upgraded to 6.22 I've been noticing these messages popping up every few hours or so on the console client, anyone able to tell me what it means/how I can fix it?
177.39 is out now just incase anyone is interested... installing soon, hopefully a bit of an increase there too. Heard good increases in games with this driver so here's hoping :)
Just figured it out! It wasn't the .NET it was to do with some administrator privileges. I did a google search of the error and I came across a post which was useful :)
More points for #33 :D
Hey guys, just reformatted my PC and can't seem to get F@H working again! I'm using the SMP client (v5.91b5) and it just keeps coming up with an error "CoreStatus = 63; Error starting Folding@Home Core"
Anyone got any ideas?
