Couldn’t the pots themselves be going bad? I mean it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had a potentiometer type thing go bad losing contact inside.

Anyone ever get a temporary fuzzy/slightly out of focus image? It’s happened to me twice. Once a few months ago and again this morning. Degauss didn’t do anything. Power cycling it makes the image clear again, and it’s been back to normal for an hour.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I am a curious soul. Couldn’t some type of replacement be created for it? What is so unique about flybacks if it can’t be duplicated!

Hehe…I’m always considering replacement options. I mean how long do we really expect our FWs to last? I only use mine for my gaming PC, and that sometimes doesn’t even see usage for a few weeks, but still.

Ah yeah you right. Limits are: Horizontal 121khz Verticial 160hz I was only curious to try to see if I could test the Startech that high for someone, but not if it can damage the FW.

Would it harm the FW900 any if I tried to test 800 x 600 @ 180Hz on it?

I have to disagree with the broadband. I had lan parties up until 2010. What really killed it was the lack of custom servers. People were getting tired of playing the same games, and nothing new had custom configurable servers.

Except that resolution is only part of the equation. Refresh rate is the other, and that is what many of the adapters fail to do great with.

Ok thanks guys. I’m not a reviewer. I’m upgrading from a 3770k to a 12900 and using my 3080 to the new rig. Obviously, I’ll have a huge difference in performance but seeing the actual numbers will be interesting.

For games that don’t have an in-game benchmark, how do people navigate what seems like the exact same route in a game for 2 videos? I mean yeah, I think maybe they are doing the route manually, but surely there is an automated way?

I have on clue. When I started playing FPS in the 90s, I immediately got annoyed with WASD, and I instantly switched to the cursor buttons. I didn't understand why they would want you to have your movement keys buried in a sea of other keys. The cursor keys nicely isolates your movement keys...

I get really scared of console to PC games vs games that are released on console and PC at the same time. I guess 2077 kinda broke that rule now lol. So I waited it out and read many of threads on the Steam forums, saw pictures of glitches people were seeing, saw the patch notes as they rolled...

I am externally mounting a reservoir with a D5 pump that could be a 1-3 inches away from the video cable. Is there any possibility of the magnets in the D5 messing with the video signal?

I'd be afraid to suggest a USB-C adapter, though. Look what happened to me. I went from a 2070 Super that had the USB-C adapter to a 3080 that doesn't have a USB-C adapter. I have no clue why they dropped that port, but I think it is safe to say a specialized video port like the DP will stay...
