I have that case and as an FYI, you can replace those 80mm fans with quieter ones. You can't retain the power mechanism that supermicro uses but you can use the beige plastic housing and easily feed the 3pin down through the gap where the original power adapter was. I replaced all the 80's with...
Not that I've seen. (some people claimed they were able to pre-order the eVGA AiB cards from eVGA's website before it crashed this morning) The date was based on Asus's posting linked on the news section. Just says should be available 6/4.
I snagged the EVGA from Newegg earlier, it's been sitting at order verification for the last 2 hrs. Customer Support just told me "The order processing time is 1-2days"
Oh well, if it doesn't actually ship, i'll just grab the Strix on 6/4.
On a side note, I had "Pre-Ordered" the Asus FE from...
As the title states, selling 2x 4p Supermicro servers.
I only used these for DC, World Community Grid and they were for less than 3 months before upgrading.

This.
1 ap license for the vWLC is ~$100 give or take a few bucks.
I wouldn't mess with a physical controller unless it's a 2504/5508 (and you don't mind spending $500+). The older 2100's/4404's only support 7.0.x and won't support newer ap's or many of the newer features you'll find on...
Well that's weird, I just happened to look over and saw all the drive lights on again. Now it's progressing with the rebuild. (51.8%)
I have a feeling it's not going to get any better but we'll see.
I already know having a 12x 3TB Raid 5 array was a dumb idea. The important data is backed up, so i'm not super worried, but no one wants to loose 5TB of data. (Raid 6 and Hot Spares will be the choice if I have to rebuild)
One drive (#17) failed a few days ago. I got a couple new ones, popped...
Hit Ruby for Clean Energy Project and Sapphire for Outsmart Ebola Together.
Current RAC is 43k, shouldn't take too long to hit Diamond on OET. Clean Energy might take a little longer.
Here is the guid on ubuntu's wiki for a no gui install.

I've never set it up gui-less, but it's pretty simple...
As the title states. Removed from the GF's computer as it was more power than she would of ever needed.

I haven't used these in quite a few years but I've seen upwards of 75 devices connected. However, I can't say they were all generating traffic. This also applies to the OP's scenario. What does the OP mean when he says 100 clients? 100 true clients generating traffic or 100 devices? The industry...
I would prolly look into the Ubiquiti stuff, like the UAP-Pro, they're about $200/ea but they are dual band and shouldn't have a problem handling 100 clients per radio.
3 AP's should suffice for that size building using standard building materials.Obviously, that depends on the building makeup...
Ok, that makes sense. I don't have any specific projects set, just whatever wu it gets, it runs. Mostly MCM right now.
Although, I might change it to MCM exclusively for now.
Thanks for the input. Kinda blows, I guess i could go through the hassle of flashing to the OCNG bios but can't run linux as it's not a dedicated system. (Cooling isn't an issue at the moment, it's in the basement where it's a cool 50F ambient)
Does Magny Cours or Abu Dhabi perform any...
I recently picked up a quad g34 6234 system. It hasn't hit full ppd yet but even what i'm seeing so far seems low.
Just wondering if anyone out there is running this project on quad interlagos systems or not. I've read tons of F@H but I can't directly apply it. Then again, maybe i'm just...
Meh, to each their own I suppose.
I manage thousands of Cisco APs (~30 controllers), Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco ISE. The issues are slim to none. I completely disagree with it being difficult to manage.
I cringe at the thought of using ubiquiti in a complex environment.
You don't need to modify any firewall rules or anything manually. Copy bonictoolbox64.exe from the machine that has BonicTasks installed (C:\Program Files\eFMer\BoincTasks) and run it on one of the clients. (Yes if prompted and accept on the firewall prompt) Then back on the machine with...
