Here's a clean version of it, still in my flickr and bigger then the x800, its 1600x1200,.

Yeah, the new Galant frames are a LOT easier to work with... the legs on the Effektiv edge frame had three parts and each of the frames itself had to screw into specific spots on the desk itself to make the corners where the legs went. Much easier to assemble the Galant.
I run a Win7 instance in coherence while I work from home, it works rather well though I wish they'd update the graphics again. Generally that's where you'll see the hit, graphics performance...the rest of the VM functions quite well depending on how much priority/cpu/ram you give it, but the...
It is an Aeron with the upgraded back support, I just changed the grey pellicle to black myself while keeping the frame when I had to replace a rip once.
I'm surprised you didn't rotate the left Dell the other way to get the logo on the outside. I did that with my PLP.... that way it's only black on the inside.
I have the slanted legs rather then the T's for my Galant. I've been running IKEA desks for years, starting back when it was part of the EFFEKTIV set. The EFFEKTIV desk turned into the Galant a little while back.
The Effectiv had my favorite frame, it went around the edge of the desk with...
I'm a big guy and heavyset (6'3" 300+lbs). I use a "size C" areon, and have had no issues with the basic pellicles (seat material). I tried one of the fancier "wave" ones, but it didn't last and went back to my original pellicle type. No problem with piston pressures. I've had my Aeron...
I think it depends on how close to the edge of the desk (and the resulting extra clearance the arm would get). For me, with my arm extending in a little from the corner of the desk there is not enough space to rotate it, it would be resting on the desk.
Wow, you got a steal at $20... yeah, I thought it was these: http://www.lowes.com/pd_101933-1281-CR4824_4294857690__?productId=1000527&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1¤tURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=
That racking on the left isn't "cheap" (unless you got it for free), I've seen it at home depot...you could get a modular IKEA desk for the same price. ;)
I've been using these for my 20's:

Lets me rotate them to landscape when I use the secondary inputs from my other computers.
Looking at the length, there are actually TWO secondary desk extensions on the right side of that Galant setup, not just one.
I can tell this because the "wide" side of the desk on the left is the single desk unit known as a "right" desktop, which leaves the "thinner" part over on the right...
I'm telling you, these new higher-pixel-rate 26-28" monitors are making me seriously consider ditching my 30" because they are just so much easer to get great LCD arms for. 30" monitors really are not that easy to get an arm that can hold multiples and be flexible. I've got 3 different arms...
It's hard to find things for 30's. That 9x thing is only for 24" it seems.
I used this for a bit for two: http://www.lcdarms.com/products/LCD_Pole_System/9120-FM.html
But now I've just moved to using a single LCD arm for each monitor to give myself maximum flexibility in moving them around...
I have noticed the frame system on the Galants is not quite as "strong" as what was on my Effektiv desk, though its ok. The Galant's its all in that center 10" strip, the Effektiv desks it was all around the edge of the desk. It is a "discount" desk though, QC only goes so far. :)
This was...
Hey,
Has anyone found any other options for 30" monitor LCD arms? I'd prefer something that's doubly adjustable (up and down, left and right, plus tilt and swivel).
I used to use a single adjustable (left and right, tilt) arm from LCDArms as fixed were the only that could carry the...
Yeah, anyone thinking of going LLL I wouldn't recommend doing it with more then 27"s with 24"s probably even being best just from how "wide" it ends up being. 3x30" is 6ft6in across of screen, that's huge, lol.
I'm still enjoying my PLP layout, have had it for couple years...
This is the Galant layout I used for my new home office:

I was originally going to off-load my older Effektiv (almost the same as Galant) desk, but turns out my father decided he loves it too, lol.
It's a 3-shelf Billy bookcase with doors on it, though I was rather disappointed with its build quality. I gave it away and put an Expedit cabinet over there instead, the expedit felt much more solid without having to be anchored to the wall.
