You know... normally I feel like this come HDCOTY time...
But this year? Well, I've not been very active. Just a few "boxes" hammering away at CV19 w/ WCG. While this is, indeed, all well and good; it's not HDCOTY worthy as I've not been active in any of the competitions and such...
Haven't checked things in quite a while...
After 6.5 months am at 255 years for OpenPandemics. (Or at least will be during the next update) The geek in me likes the subnet reference. ;)
And, at some point, Beta went Ruby.
Sorry, folks. I've not been to work in ages and never had a chance to fire up more boxes more than the 6-8 boxes that've been running WCG for months now. :( Not sure if it would've made much of a difference since I wouldn't have time to play the bunker game. (which, IMHO, needs to be abolished)
Been chugging along with my EVGA 1070 FTW and am excited for the 3080; but will wait a month or two. Really really want to jump now... yet I remember being burned once when buying at launch and the prices dropped majorly a few weeks later. Figure it'll give a chance for any major issues to come...
Who, me? ;) :ROFLMAO: Gotta take what I can get after the "upset" of losing HDCOTY. :p (Although, IIRC, it was to Skillz, who absolutely deserved it)
Lines 1 and 197 tell the story well enough; hits a bad "block" and just goes bye-bye. The error bit count seems a bit high, however I'm not sure what program that is, so can't reference my drive as an example. You mentioned trying a different data cable, and a different power connector, but...
Thank you for the nomination, Priller. :) Not sure how I missed that; probably because if my brain wasn't melting from the heat wave, it has been stressed by the fires near where pututu and I live. :p
So... not a milestone... but did add two of these boxes to my OpenPandemics efforts. Not sure if they're settled in yet (WCG wouldn't feed them completely at first) but one did ~860K/ppd and the other ~875K/ppd. Not too shabby. :p.

Fired up five 2P servers late 16JUN and crossed 5y 26JUN. Am rarely in the office due to the continued WFH situation; but have a few big boxes I might bring online early next month. :D
Hmm. Guess I should do something about that. Only took a one year break from WCG. ;)

This is with the multi threaded setup. Won't go above 47% or so. On some of my more... tame... 4Ps I tricked BOINC until the box was running around 100% usage. However, on these 100+ "core" systems I keep running into this issue. If the challenge had just started I'd simply run two VMs to each...
This just arrived today; but BOINC won't max out all the cores and I don't have the time to fight with it anymore. (Thought I could just install a second instance of BOINC... but guess not?)

Welcome back, stranger. You rather missed a lot. :p We missed 3rd place in the Pentathalon by a nose. Kyle killed hardocp. Team is in a bit of flux right now. Those are the three major ones I can think of!
Ahh. Good points. Well, I haven't looked at the ladders, but I'd imagine four positions aren't going to make that much of a difference in the long run. (Could be grossly incorrect though!)
10esseeTony Yeah, a little bit. Things are busy as hell at work and, honestly, doing this kind of stuff was getting too distracting. Plus I get paranoid from time to time, so go dark now and then. I was tempted to try and piss some people off for the recent Prime Grid event; but truthfully I...
Huh. Guess not. Thought there was a Diamond 200.
So looks like I'm in the top 110 for the things that matter; Total Run Time & Results returned. Guess points will take a little longer. Weird that points is off a little like that.

I didn't reach any major milestones / badges; but believe I added ~19.5 years to OZ during the Penathalon before switching to LHC for the Sprint.

Am going "quiet" for a little while; but then I'll go back online and have at it to reach to...
I'm really kicking myself for not finding the time to add more systems to LHC. Certainly had more at my disposal; but getting the ones I did bring online (20 boxes, a mix of 2P and 4P Xeons spanning Sandy through Skylake) was a real PITFA due to other issues. Was suffering from burnout pretty...
Yeah, I'm feeling a little bit salty over here. Was here until 1230 this morning getting a bunch of systems online in hopes of helping our team. However, with the piss poor payout, and the slow as fucking hell validation, it seems to have been a waste of time.

atp raises some good points and I agree with the main complaint (as I read it) stated in #3. There's too much bullshit going on. Could rant and rave, but as I think about it, assholes who screw the game by pulling WUs they'll never do, just to screw with people, are one of the biggest problems...
Received my Diamond for Smash Childhood Cancer.
The timing of this, for me, is a little different than usual. A very close friend ours son, who recently turned 17, just started going through chemo and gods know what else due to testicular caner that spread to his lymph nodes. Stage 2 IIRC...
Hoo boy. Think we just went through this mess when my eligibility for DCOTY was in question. My understanding, ChristianVirtual, is that you're available to be nominated again in December 2019. :) Pocatello can confirm if I'm right/wrong. :p
Forgot to post last week; but they're unofficial milestones, so who cares? ;)
OpenZika and FA@H_P2 both crossed 150 years.
Also noticed last week that, while Brilong is still in the #1 position for the team in regards to points, I've now contributed more WU's (+357,666) and computational...
Need code for Xansons. Let me know if there are any other projects on this list that need a code, too.
Oh, and reminder for what the update script is; although think I have it somewhere for Windows. Did someone whip one up for Linux, too?
My lovely army of 2p-5118 boxes took a pretty big...
